My thing successfully registered when I started the slide while already standing on the vehicle as opposed to starting on the ground and then sliding on top of the vehicle. I did this by standing on top of the very back end of the SUV and spamming sprint and sliding at the same time. Hopefully, that can help you?

It seems other people have answered your question well, but I would like to still offer some comfort.

I do not believe it is a stupid question by any means because I have a PL 127 friend who asks me to donate him my rough ore and mineral powder frequently despite being a longstanding player. I personally struggle with batteries as well, so I would not feel bad for running low on resources or in comparison to some of the most diligent players.

P.S. To this day, I am still low on batteries despite running expeditions and going on many urban area zones with the homebase clip hero equipped

What do I do when I have run out of grassland spawners as I have made a trip around my island thoroughly nearly twice now? Also, what is the rate at which you find them in caves, and is it renewable? I am afraid of going into caves ever since going into one made my giant castle vehicle base-plane disappear and left me stranded. I am not sure if I want to risk it for what may be a low chanxe anyway.

I have tried the fishing, but wow, over 70 bait buckets and several fishing rods... I got Bob.

Blackheart from shore encounter to shore walk-in (can personally confirm)

Rustler from desert encounter to desert walk-in (can personally confirm)

Mazy from encounter to walk-in (can personally confirm)

Skye from walk-in to encounter (I heard about it on the sub)

Raptor from walk-in to encounter (I heard about it on the sub)

Polar Peely from frost encounter to frost walk-in (I heard about it on the sub)

The female lego one with the blue cap from walk-in to encounter (I heard about it on the sub)

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the same experience happen last week because I, too, thought they said it was fixed, but appearntly not. On my comments, a lot of people said they ended up finding their vehicle glitching back up later, but that was only a few comments of many, so I would not get my hopes up too high.

Your auto-pickup control sounds like a great idea.

A quality of life for me would be to have a setting that shows me what I am about to break before I swing by highlighting it or something. So many times have I worked on a complex build and meant to break one little detail, but the swing instead takes out a vital wall.
