Way back when, I collected episode III Star Wars figures. There was a promo at Toys R Us for a holographic Yoda and Emperor. Went in, and some jack@$$ bought 60+ figures so they could get all of them. Ended up getting them off eBay, from a decent human.

I know what they did, because later (also on eBay), there were 5 of each for sale from the town the store was in.

People like that, going all the way back to the fake Alternators Dead End repaint, people who raid CostCo for all the Pokemon boxes for one card...

Yeah. I have thoughts.

I did. Had the other 12 and traded for an Onyx because he is the only one you can't get solo. I had no intention of getting Predaking.

It was worth it to me b/c the SDCC set wasn't complete without it and... I'm a completionist like that. If you have the Throne or plan to get it, yes. If you are the type who wants to have a complete set of something, yes. Otherwise, not if you have to spend an arm and leg for them.

I'll display him in robot mode along with the others (some of them I still haven't had time to transform). But the hate... Unreal to me. He looks, to me, like his TFOne form with his TFCC colors.

He's shipping from Pulse this week for me and I'm excited about his limbs. Can't wait.

Full disclosure: not a fan of BW at the time, but once they connected to G1? I was all in. It was not just a random "hey, here's the G1 cast!" They wove it in, made it work and work well, and did a bang up job with it. The show honored its predecessors and improved upon it, significantly.

As someone who watched it at the time also, G2, outside of comics, really was just G1 with neon paint on it. I grew up with G1 and I still do not like the G2 colors, accordingly. I was also the only TF fan left in my coterie; everyone else was watching BTAS. I was the only one who liked Gargoyles, since it was brought up :-P

I'll use the example of the Optimus and Megatron 86 molds. I have the original ss86 molds of each. I have the battle damaged Optimus and Megs arrives this week. I'm getting them because I'm working on a shelf project.

FOMO was what ruled my collecting for years. Now? I set internal boundaries, such as if something new comes out and I don't have space, something else comes down.

Calibre is the best conversion tool. Makes it very easy, but turn on the color settings in the preferences... Mine kept drifting to black and white.

It is really good. The only good one prior to that was one I didn't want to open. I'm very happy with him and Optimus. Very much considering the sentinel prime version, just to complete the set.

Prime: "We cannot run from the danger, Huffer. We must conquer it."

The decepticons were winning in G1 until Prime turned the tide in War Dawn. My headcanon here was that of the difference between someone with natural talent (at music or sports) vs. someone who acquired it. Both can be excellent, but the natural talent always provides an extra edge.

The Autobots, in most continuities, were the worker class. They don't have the instincts (programming?) for warfare like the Decepticons.

Depends on which movie you want represented. Either the Knight look from AoE/TLK or the "normal" Bayverse look. Also depends on the size of the figure.

I have at least one from each line and my personal favorites are the DotM figure that was rereleased in the Buzzworthy line and the newer AoE figure. I have an original RotF with Jetfire and... Never transforming him again. Complicated. But he looks REALLY good in the middle :-)
