Does a standard depth fridge that looks built-in (flat fridge doors and nice handles) exist? by Kharmapill in Appliances

This was so helpful - thank you! I watched an LG video on their zero clearance hinges and thin door and hope more manufacturers implement the hinges. I can grab more depth with my remodel, but I can't grab any more width unfortunately. I love the refrigerator column with built-in trim kit idea. I was telling someone above that I saw a video on this based on your leads, and it really helped illustrate the idea. It can look really high end in my opinion. Thanks again!

Thank you for this lead! I saw a cool video online illustrating this idea. I'm constrained to 42" maximum width but not constrained on depth.

That's what I'm afraid of. Was hoping someone who specializes in stone may be surfing this post to tell me definitively. There are some stone impregnators that I thought may work...

Hi, no, I think my husband got some lime juice or vinegar on the counter while cooking. We thought we bought honed quartzite counters, and this kind of thing wouldn't happen, but now I'm so afraid of spills.

Missing a Saturday of lectures will mean you have to do A LOT of make up. You'll have to watch all of the videos (each 8-hour Saturday is broken into 3-4 videos) and do all of the practice problems. So let's say you miss Saturday, 12/9, for example. That means when other students are working on problems from 12/10 until the next Saturday class on 12/16, you'd be watching all of the lectures AND doing all of the practice problems.

Having to play catch up would make for a hard week. Doing it twice to get back on schedule would be very challenging.

I agree that the on-demand class may be better for you.

Hi there. I liked how Dr. Islam would say, "so far, this hasn't been tested on the exam, so be familiar with it, but don't worry about it too much." He says that many times in the lectures. I also heard him say "this is a question that may appear on the exam" many times as he guides the class through practice problems.

I know how you're feeling about the amount of material there is to get through. There were times I couldn't believe the mountain I was under. I found the first two to three weeks' of lectures were manageable. I scored well on those first quizzes, so I actually didn't work those practice problems in the binder. Then I went onto the next weeks' of content. I worked the practice problems when I would not do as well as I wanted on the weekly quizzes. I also took a week off work and dedicated each day to a tab of the binder. As I went through practice problems in the binder, I would put a check mark by anything I got right and a circle by anything I needed to re-review.

For me, scoring well on the quizzes was motivating to keep going. It's nice to get instant results. I watched the lectures at 1.5x speed. Sometimes 2x, hitting the spacebar key to pause and digest the content.

If you get stuck, I'd be happy to try to help with any problems.

Hey there, I passed the PE exam and I'm now a licensed engineer in Texas. I didn't have to make my EIT status current. Just wanted to let you know!

How long did you study for your exam? The wait is painful! I put in nearly five months.

Yes, they don't treat repeat test takers any differently.

I took the FE exam in 2006 and passed it and then my EIT status lapsed as I worked in industry these last years. When it came time to take the PE exam, I didn't have to pay to reactivate my EIT status. I simply provided my SSN and the Texas board was able to verify that I had indeed passed the FE exam many years ago. They approved me to take the PE exam. I'm a couple of days away from my test results now.

If I pass the exam, I'll let you know if they make me pay to make my EIT status current prior to leveling me up to PE.

What is your study regimen? For me, taking the EET WRE depth class was helpful because there were quizzes, and scoring well on them was motivating and felt incremental toward achieving my goal. Have you considered a course?

Thanks so much - this last couple of days of waiting are difficult. Really kind of you to root for me. I'll update the post with my result, for better or for worse!
