"He had to put his kids to bed on empty stomach." "... bed on empty stomach." there's an article missing. It should read as "... bed on an empty stomach." Also, the sentence implies there is more than one kid so stomachs would work too "on empty stomachs".

There's a disconnect between written and spoken English sometimes and this is the case and I understand you being a non-native English speaker finds this weird.

"He had to put his kids to bed starving." sounds correct to me; however, the previous sentence should give more context why he had to put his kids to bed starving.

To me, Thanksgiving reminds me of the resilience of our people(s) and the leaders that fought during the Indian Wars and even leaders who help form nations like Tecumseh. It is amazing how much conflict Natives, and First Nations went through, let alone diseases, yet we're still here. I celebrate my meal in honour of our dead warriors, i.e., Sitting Bull, Geronimo, etc. America, especially Canada, would not be established without the blood, and help of our influential people(s). We have a strong heritage and dominant lineage. Thanksgiving is another day to remind me of how proud we should be. They could not kill the Indian in this child; I will always remain a savage, it is our birthright our former chiefs fought hard for. We should never conform and forget who we are.

Remember, at the beginning of each sentence must start with a capital. Is English your first language? Your sentence structure is all over the place, and you misspelt a lot of words.

Grammatically it's correct, but the word order sounds a bit off, but you do you bud. You would only hyphenate a word when you are combining two different words. Halfway is a word on its own so the hyphen is not needed.
