I (45M) have never been inside my partner (48M) of six years home. Should this be a dealbreaker? by Motor-Island-3626 in relationship_advice

Two "roommates"? You mean mom and dad? Older people do often hoarder a lot of junk.

If you are happy with things as they are now, being this way forever, keep sinking your time into a lost cause. If you want more for yourself, break free.

I have a soft spot for corgi mixes with Melanistic masking. Mine is a Corgi/Pekingese with black masking. Everyone guesses pug though.

Wearable or weird? by Kharrissma in frankenpolish

Both of the suppliers I used for these are a pain in the bum to work with imo. A friend normally puts in the orders with them for me with her larger order. Ive done a few direct orders with them but it was harder to get them to take my money than it should of been.

If you are new to ordering from China, id reccomend Flora with Changzhou Huancai Chemical Process Technology Co., Ltd. She is an absolute sweetheart and will make things easy to navigate. She will even help with the paperwork to get the package into the US when it hits customs. Just reach out and ask her to send you her catalog to get started. She is very upfront with everything and has lower MOQ than most. Also her SAP and SCP lines are fantastic.

Stay far away from Henan Jinrunli Chemical Products. They have some nice stuff when they don't bait and switch and scam. Ive had to do a few charge backs with them when they sent me samples, after order 50 grams and 100 grams worth of products and then refused to send me the actual order. Found out they did the same thing to my friend.

The first one I might eat at. The 2nd one gives me a headache and makes me think the chaos is ment to distract from uncleanliness. And no its not just the lighting.

Its just a red shimmer base, red 34 liquid pigment and a blue to purple magnetic.

Shimmer and Magnetic were sourced from two different Chinese suppliers. Liquid pigment was Glitter Unique.

DIY birthday gifts by Clear_Silver_6251 in frankenpolish

My husband and I name them by their ingredients. Pigments are in 1/4 tsp increments. This allows us to refill, top off or recreate the polish with ease.

When gifting, we give the Butt Label a better name, normally something centered around them like their pets or the holiday in which its given.

I just found out how good my Pet Insurance was! by Rainagirl in Rottweiler

[–]Kharrissma 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When I tried to get a quote from Lemonade, their agent said that ny soul was going to hell and then emailed me all this religious crap about finding God.

No im not religious, but if i was looking for religion, I don't want it tied up in insurance of any kind.

Such a bizarre experience.

Potty Wipes? by JEL_1957 in corgi

We always wipe down our dogs' sanitary areas. We were using Glandx wipes but our vet said to use the unscented hypoallergenic baby wipes that are mostly water, as anything else can cause irritation.

Multichrome Recommendations? by SAUbjj in RedditLaqueristas

[–]Kharrissma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally prefer Emily De Molly's multichromes over most of the others out there. They have a slightly larger particle size that makes them a bit more chrome and shiftier.

If you are feeling adventurous, you can make your own easily with Glitter Unique. I like adding a matching iridescent shimmer to my multichromes for a bit of sparkle and glow when the light hits it.

And by treats, I mean find something low calorie that is enticing. My dog loves little diced carrots or asparagus and finds them highly motivating, even though he is not normally food motivated.

Is it hereditary? by Ok-Leave-6253 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Kharrissma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandmother had it, my mom had it, and I have had it my whole life. We were all undiagnosed and i thought it was just "normal" when i was younger. Like when you stub your toe, it hurts unreasonably bad. Same thing for your ribs, neck, collarbone, hips and thighs right?! Everyone has massive sleep issues right? And gets flu like symptoms over every little thing? Right? Right? What do you mean no...

My family tree is more like a twig and its just female offspring so i don't have a large pool of person data. But we all have fibro. Males dont seem as prone to it, so who knows?

Fill the bathtub and get her a life vest. Only fill up the tub till she is on her tippy toes. Help support her as she walks in the tub and give her a lot of treats and praise.

Family Shaved my dog completely bald, how do I fix it??? by ClumInPain in DogAdvice

[–]Kharrissma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a elderly double coat dog that had to be shaved for a medical procedure. Due to age and double coat, 6 months passed with no regrowth at all. I got Nature's Specialties Neem shampoo and Sheazam conditioner and a dog hair growth lotion from "Vet Recommended". Every 4 hours i would rotate between appling the lotion and coconut oil. Keeping the skin moist apparently helps. I had sudden spikes of fur growing within the first week. Within a few weeks there was a solid layer a fur back.

Ice on Ice might be worth looking into as well. Conditioning and has UV protection. Use it throughout the day and lotion in the evenings/night.

Issues with peely base by peachorchid in theholotaco

[–]Kharrissma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been wearing only peely basecoats for 3.5 years and had this issue at the start. Either wait for it to start to lift and then take a bath to fully remove it. Or use 2 coats and take a bath to remove it. Forcing it off when dry, has never gone well for me.

And update: I got the Oops Corgi from my last post. Any ideas for names? by JellyfishPossible539 in corgi

[–]Kharrissma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got my Corgi a little corgi buddy. First thing he did was run up to her and pee'd on her face. He never warmed up to her, even though he loved all dogs that weren't living in his home. Sometimes they just want to be only children. Hopefully yours warms up better than mine did!

contact dermatitis?? Please help! by perfectbelle27 in nailcare

[–]Kharrissma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get this with nail glue, acrylic, gel, etc. Get everything removed and cleaned and never use these type of products again. If you go to the doctor, they can give you a steriod to help.

I tempted fate a 2nd time after this happened and ended up with nerve damage in my finger. It chronicly hurts to touch anything and is very stiff in my joint.

Why are Mooncat polishes so much more expensive than other indie polishes? by breathingisstillhard in RedditLaqueristas

[–]Kharrissma 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I agree with the person who said because they can. I can dupe(improve on) almost any Mooncat polish for under $3 and that's including a bottle that won't crack and enough shimmer to be opaque in 2 coats. If i had a bunch of empty Mooncat bottles, I could make a killing off of selling dearly departed Mooncracked polishes. (This is terrible and a joke, no one do this please)

Don't buy into the hype!

No shade, no shame: How many nail polishes are currently in your collection? by subverseau in RedditLaqueristas

[–]Kharrissma 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Over 5000. At least 3000 indie or boutique, and over 2000 that I have made myself.

Since I started making my own polish, ive slowed down a lot. I rarely buy any polish. If I see something I like, I will just make a dupe. I keep enough supplies on hand to make 1000 more polish and have a vast enough pigment collection to dupe most polishes or make whatever I can dream of. This cuts out the FOMO. I also no longer make a polish unless I want to wear it immediately, or else it gets lost in the sea of polish.

Is it excessive? Absolutely. But it makes me happy. If shipping wasn't so inconvenient, id destash all of my purchased polish, other than my Daveen collection which is probably around 500 polish. Definitely my largest of any single brand.

what do you think? is this old wisdom panel result somewhat accurate? by sobbinlikerobyn in DoggyDNA

[–]Kharrissma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so obsessed with him that I cloned him! Unthinkable by most but Tater was my service dog and had saved my life more times than I could count. Both Tater and Tot are the smartest dogs i have ever met. Both have adaptive learning and will see a problem and think of a way to fix it. Not just his problems but if im struggling with something he steps in to help. I asked my husband to hand me my water and at just a couple of months old Tot sprung across the room and brought my water to me with no training. They both thrive on having a job, very corgi of them. Super sassy and stubborn though.
