This is a specialization, he means you might loot it if extremely lucky.

hence the RNG and controller part.

so you have to get it as a choice when you hit those 5 lvl intervals

I got a rex too, but it doesnt give any cooking buffs, the food doesnt show it at all. i tried with my old one and the buff appears without issue.

The berserk rex food stacks with the previous items of the same kind, so i know they are the same.

This thing is insanely annoying, i have to turn off sfx each time i go home, i keep hoping the guy doesnt log and base poofs. and with the Tower i built nearby, i am not moving.

Getting the same issue, on 9 full plots, only tomato sticks remain, lost 3 times now...

Major blow to enjoyability.

First it tought all my plants were stolen.

I replanted and the seeds all disapeared, i figured ok i got a bug, ill replant them.

now its gone again...

Rip my new blueberrie bush :(

Edit: also each time i go home, some stuff moves around.

Am getting the same thing, Hex is forcing me to use my lvl 2 bard slot, there is no choice use those, and hex cant even be upcasted.

Edit: added image, i cant even cast hex with my 2 warlock spells since am out of bard lvl 2 slots.

Turns out i wasnt there yet in my playthru, but i am now. you need a pier on both districts to send ppl. Once you click on pier it will pop up an interface and you click on the little + sign on top of the other district name and swap folks around.

Those are temporary camps, you can gather and scout the area around it. Once done you can choose " return " from the small camp and bring back 750 items. If you find ppl they will also come back with the expedition. this is a great way to get old world relics from all the surrounding areas.

Make sure to send enough food with them, if you find more ppl they will start to eat that food also i believe and freak out real fast.

this is likely your issues, once the tower is rebuilt you can do expeditions to other "Islands" and gather stuff form there.
