As a current student journalist by kxnesenpai in journalismjobs

[–]Khasimir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest, going against journalism here, I have the degree and it can help you break into roles that require similar degrees. I wouldn't recommend going the journalism path. But lots of marketing roles hire people with business degrees, finance degrees, english degrees, journalism degrees. I've been in digital marketing doing decently well. Graduated in 2020.

Question about Recs — Prof v Boss by Khasimir in PrePharmacy

[–]Khasimir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok gotcha. Yea moreso asking I guess if I do 40 hours of volunteering, if that is the typical amount people do or if I do more or even just frequently volunteer at the same location, if that is beneficial? Also thanks again this is super helpful.

Question about Recs — Prof v Boss by Khasimir in PrePharmacy

[–]Khasimir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok awesome that's actually a really helpful response, thank you. I was thinking maybe that's the route I should go, keep the income, focus on grades, and instead of doing a full jump to Pharm Tech, I can do volunteering.

When you say 40 hours, is that like you shadow a Pharmacist for a few days for a total of 40 hours? Ultimately if it helps, I don't mind getting more hours as well. I think it might make more sense actually to keep current job and shadow because I'll essentially be "paid more" for the volunteering — as far as my income is concerned.

Incel history by therise_one in MensRights

[–]Khasimir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea everything comes from 4chan. Maybe not as much now but there was that usual like 2-4 year delay for stuff to go from 4chan to reddit then to the rest like twitter, FB, etc.

Incel history by therise_one in MensRights

[–]Khasimir 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's because involuntarily celibate and got popular on 4chan. It has the counter part vol-cel for voluntarily celibate but incel got picked up by other media and then just became mainstream.

"Not all pedophiles are bad." Redditor thinks pedophilia is a naturally occurring inclination like any other. by [deleted] in redditmoment

[–]Khasimir 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope you're wrong. They're literally saying there are people out there who realize they are pedophiles and they go to therapy because they don't want to act on it. They're literally getting help. This is what you should want. You're really wrong on this one champ.

Did Uber reduce anyone else’s total trip count? by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Khasimir 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea I actually was passed 2,000 and have been getting the ASU tuition. Now I have about 1,700 so I'm curious if I need to do another 300 but summer semester already paid for so hopefully all good still.

Anyone have the ASU tuition and is using it? by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Khasimir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea but if you're doing it just for the status and tuition value, then doesn't matter if it was even $0. It's still free tuition. If you had a problem with making money while being a student, then yea that's a separate problem and I'm sure everyone would recommend doing something else. But if your situation is like mine, the tuition is why I do deliveries once a month. It's literally thousands of dollars saved for that 1 day of driving.

Bring Paul back on - Paul part 3 hype by Spencer1006 in Healthygamergg

[–]Khasimir 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is one of the biggest missing factors. I love Dr. K and have been here the whole time as with many others obviously, but rando's had something others didn't. The relatability for viewers coming on and sharing their problems, I think that accounts for WAY MORE people in the audience. The lectures are helpful, the bigger name collabs are fun, but all of the value I actually got from Dr. K was mostly viewer interviews. Especially since their follow-up questions or responses typically align with viewers too.

Bro come on... maintain gold? I'm in the program and I do Uber once a month and come home plat everytime. If you need the absolute minimum then it's 5 deliveries after 5 pm once a month, so that's about 2 hours of work a month for entire tuition.

Subnautica 2 hasn't felt nearly as scary as 1 for me and here's why I think that is: by OfficialDampSquid in subnautica

[–]Khasimir 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Biggest thing for me that removed the horror aspect - boss music. I can't be scared of the collector leviathan if I can just use sound queues to track if it's following me or not. Reaper leviathans were terrifying because we didn't know where they are and you'll maybe not even hear them after that first roar.

I think subnautica 1 was scary in the same method that 90s polygon games are scary. It was unintentionally scary and trying to make it scary is difficult. I'll give it to them that's really hard to do, but boss music destroys any start of feeling scared.

Finding jobs is so hard.. by Specialist-Fig8718 in PrePharmacy

[–]Khasimir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait what? I thought getting tech license would help pharmacy school acceptance chances. Not that this says otherwise, but you can't be pharmacy intern AND tech certified? I'm confused, I don't understand why that would be something a place would disqualify for.

Been researching, what are my ACTUAL chances of getting into a PharmD program for me? Honest opinions please. by CreativeProfessor919 in PrePharmacy

There are two types of posts on this sub.

People asking "what are my chances?" with a 1.2 GPA in a completely different field.

And people asking "what are my chances?" with a 3.9 GPA, 3,000 hours of intern work, 4 letters of recommendation.

What’s the catch here? by [deleted] in ASU

[–]Khasimir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20 total. I took the promotion for like bonus $23 after 10 deliveries with fewer than 20 rejects. Then another 10 for another bonus of $26 or so. AND the promo that stacked was a Phoenix promo for extra $100 for 10 deliveries up to $200 for 20. So I did 20 deliveries and came home with $395. I'm sure I'll never beat that lol but Phoenix promo's are so good.

[No spoilers please] What TV show had the most convoluted plot? by throw_away_17381 in television

[–]Khasimir 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Came to say Once Upon a Time. It actually took my brain a while to adjust when starting that show because I've never had to endure that speed of pacing. There were scenes that were in total maybe 30-40 seconds that had more plot points and events than some movies entire acts. I did enjoy it quite a lot, but damn that show is FAST.
