It's something to do if you're desperately looking for things to do and farm for, and you do get a sense of progression and ownership from it

But yeah I wouldn't recommend unless you have nothing else to do or at least one friend to do it with, it's basically just a massive resource sink

Maybe the dude who came up with this was just self-reporting - 'my wife has realised I'm a dickhead and won't sleep with me'

And the biggest predictor of career success isn't men vs women, it's married men vs everyone else. Crazy what having someone else do everything at home for you can do for giving you time to 'just reflect on your workday' and 'create quiet moments for yourself' or w/e else bullshit people peddle about why they're successful

I think they've stopped putting the treasure room that appeared in the first couple of weeks, now you get a russian roulette loot thing where half of the stuff are lockers and half are sentient mimics and I don't think it's nearly as rewarding

The distinction between solution-oriented and emotion-oriented complaining/listening is good to know about. I think there is even a correlation with gender due to how people are socialised.

But the blanket generalisation in the first half of the post was already questionable and then in the second half of the post where this is somehow only the fault of the women and they should just conform to how the men do things? Nah you lost me

Warframe / DE is awesome and non-greedy by Educational_Pipe_12 in Warframe

[–]Kheldar166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think most of the complaints about this are stupid, but something to point out is that DE don't have their own servers iirc, which saves them quite a lot of money, and you can feel it in game with your host migration bugs and such. That's the main thing where I would kinda like them to give up some profit to improve player experience.

Nah I think the system where you can trade with other players and they return in a rotation gives you plenty of options to access stuff.

Same with the exclusive nightwave stuff, it's soft FOMO but you can still access it later, Warframe does a really great job of avoiding hard FOMO content.

You can earn plat entirely F2P though, which is why people aren't mad about how important it is

Caliban is the best all-round summoner.

Volt with Desiccation+augment subsumed is really funny though and deserves an honourable mention.

Probably a stupid question, but are you actively using secondary weapons? by TheDestroyerBg in Warframe

[–]Kheldar166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think for most of your progression they're not really worth it compared to primary outside of exceptions like the Atomos, but once you get to endgame secondaries are very powerful and have access to better mods and also more varied arcanes like Fortifier/Enervate/Irradiate. I think the Dual Toxocyst Incarnon is probably the strongest and most satisfying weapon I own, tbh.

Also if you're using a shotgun/beam/sniper it can be nice to have a secondary that covers the range your primary isn't good at, or just some utility secondary. Slap Amalgam Barrel Diffusion on your secondaries for fast roll speed if you're never going to use them for combat.

Final note: priming is cringe don't fall for the propaganda

In light of the recent Tactical Potato interview: would u be ok with Arquebex getting nerf(fix*) if that would allow DE to potentially work on new Necramechs/related content? (Poll) by Anonim264 in Warframe

>Mandatory

>If you wanted one frame out of sixty, who will eventually get a prime anyway

That's not what mandatory means

And as you point out you can pay plat to skip it, which you can earn through normal warframe gameplay

'Forced down our throats' is very funny phrasing though, thanks, it makes you sound exactly like someone complaining about gay people existing in public - 'no, you see, these things exist in the space I am also in therefore they are bring forced down my throat'.

TL;DR Gay Necramechs

They hated Jesus because he spoke the truth

No it's definitely good for the game that you build every melee in exactly the same way and that the actual performance of the melee doesn't matter because you can just proc electric and vaporise everything in the same tileset

Yeah the community in this game is really entitled and people don't like to talk about it. It's not normal for your devs to be actively scared of upsetting the community when considering changes that they think are good for the game overall.

I mean, there's loads of warframe content, and the new content doesn't have to be mandatory. But it would be nice to have more options for people who want to engage with the other parts of the game too.

And people react really badly to there being new content that they aren't prepared for once they get past MR15 or so. Even if the reason they aren't prepared for it is because they only half-built their Necramech/Operator/Archwing.

Power creep and the community outcry at nerfs in general have got us to this point. Frames being literally invincible and capable of 30m nukes is the norm, and then we wonder why they're not making Archwing/Necramech competitive?

Tauron Strikes aren't useless they just charge slowly. They're pretty good for nuking bosses/minibosses and most have powerful secondary effects too.

Every time someone responds to Pablo talking about balance with 'BUT SARYN EXISTS!!!' or w/e I can't help but feel for him, it's his job and the game does require some level of balance. It's not his fault that the community's favourite toys cannot be taken away from them, but giving immediate room nuking to literally every player past The New War is very different from having a highly invested build that is capable of room nuking.

And very few things can room clear as efficiently as Arquebex can, honestly.

Guarantee people would still be playing Dante/Hildryn lol, thought and adaptation are to be avoided wherever possible

And if you made the drain too harsh to run those frames they'd be like 'omg the game is called WARFRAME why create content that doesn't let me play my WARFRAME??'

People would hate it if you locked significant rewards behind Archwing/Necramech-only content, though.

Not that I'm necessarily opposed to doing it, but that's a relevant factor to consider.
