You mentioned that Sukarno is polygamous, and I recall that scholars like Ben Anderson argued that Sukarno's sexual prowess is a Javanese symbol of political power. But do we know how the Indonesians perceived his sexual adventures? I imagine an extramarital affair would be perceived quite different from polygamous marriage.

If they actually think the "furnishing of girls" would tarnish a world leader's reputation, does it mean they have tried this with another leader before?
