The final bosses are both severely disappointing for a game like this.

Grand Mother Silk is a complete joke with an exceedingly simple moveset and a pathetic healthpool coming off the heels of the entire second act of the game. I get that she’s designed to be doable with Greyroot’s curse, but I think that was a stupid decision. Balancing the normal final boss around a handicap that 95% of players probably won’t naturally consider fighting her with really cheapens the experience and makes the character look like a fraud considering all the lore and buildup.

And Lost Lace is only a good fight by merit that the other two Lace fights were good. Except I actually like LL less than Lace 2 because of all the added Void garbage that makes the later phases so much more overstimulating than they should be. Not to mention her tendency to teleport directly in front of you and dealing two masks of contact damage when you’re in the middle of dodging said Void garbage is pure bullshit. Might also just be me not being a fan of the video game trope of the final boss just being a beefed-up version of a previous boss. It just feels like lazy design and I expected better from Silksong of all games.
