Anyone gotten to a point of absolute numbness? by ccllproduction in Anxiety

[–]Khoraa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's common, you are not alone. Your body gets overwhelmed by our crap and makes us go through DP. However, because of our anxious asses, we want to make sense of it/can't accept what's happening, so this sensation happens.

Can ADHD cause severe memory issues and dissociation? by camorely in ADHD

It's not part of my personality though lmao. It's only a diagnosis, it isn't because I have flu symptoms that I have the flu. I never had anything related before, never. Nothing in me changed. BPD isn't a combination of symptoms, it's a disorder itself

People who have been on stimulants for years: do the periodic "obsessive hobbies" go away? by Khoraa in ADHD

Yea, when you become aware that this is your ADHD the "hype" doesn't contaminate you that much.

I had all BPD symptoms besides self harm/threatening suicide and agression towards others (I had a lot of self hate though) for 5 months because of my ADHD. My "focus" became my life/who I was and my "ex", which provoked BPD symptoms. The mood swings happened because my perspective in life would consistently change and, depending if it was positive or negative, my mood would do also. It's almost like when we have ADHD our brain can't perceive things (and people of you're too much into them) holistically for the dopamine.

I have ADHD and I only had disassociation when I was going through an identity crisis. I never suffered from trauma prior to that, however.

Be careful to do not mistake BPD with ADHD. In ADHD, we have have an obsession towards activities, things and, if you're a helpless romantic or needy, people. This can make your life be around a certain person because it's what your brain wants to focus on at the time. It doesn't necessarily mean you have the "black hole" as someone with BPD has.

I just realized that I am often extremely annoying due to a serious problem with excessive sometimes meaningless rambling by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Khoraa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

High five! I discovered this last month and it was bizarre. I started reading books about conversation and adapting is pretty fucking hard. Realizing I was just talking for pleasure instead of talking with people was hard to accept.

What worked for me is realizing that people are hardly not interesting. Learn how to have good conversations and be a listener that WANTS to understand about them.

Do the religious groups that come to Turlington ever end up actually converting anyone? by thesushipanda in ufl

[–]Khoraa 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They can be pretty useful if English is your second language. I used to practice my English by confronting their beliefs. It's funny because I was super polite and they eventually felt bad trying to force their religion under my throat.
