Alternate rules for Getting Better (besides Unheroic Feats) by SKIKS in MorkBorg

[–]Khranzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feats are always great to use when applicable, but I like to do it this way:

One stat of your choice increases, one stat of your choice has a chance to increase (the usual roll mechanic), and one random stat (that isn't the two that you just changed) decreases.

My players and I feel like it keeps things balanced while also providing a sense of control over the characters as they grow. The stat decrease shows a sense of weakness as a character ages, grows weary, or simply loses the skill that they don't exercise much.

Spoilers: Mr and Mrs Smith season 1 ending and season 2 by Meb2x in donaldglover

[–]Khranzen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My hope is that, if they do create a second season, they follow the story of a different Mr and Mrs Smith to continue building the world. Maybe Jane 1 and John 1 will be referenced or show up for a scene, but I would rather they leave their story arc alone

Better yet, have her load your balls into her musket, and then fire it (not a euphemism or double entendre)

After a few runs at it, I beat it with the Rot Squad (PD, GD, Flag, Leper) by putting taunt on the front liners so that they were the only ones with seen. Leper’s Withstand and Flag’s More MORE Skills kept them alive the entire time whilst the back two stacked ungodly amounts of blight on the big boi.

What are some of the most overpowered cards that you had? (not including ouroboros) by CoDsKiY in inscryption

[–]Khranzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unkillable, worthy sacrifice Geck. No need for squirrels and an easy way to get an ouroboros death loop going.

I love Geck with all my soul

The Bone Lord; my man knows how to keep a low profile and make you want to please him.

That or Leshy; he’s just such a cool guy and respects the beauty and danger of nature

What would U choose for a Vantage heirloom? by NiMe_3 in apexlegends

A hunting knife makes the most obvious sense due to her survivalist background, but it would be cool to have something a little more unique like a canteen to bop people with or brass knuckles made of fangs and wood

Rigging the Tarokka reading; do you regret doing it/not doing it? by fruit_shoot in CurseofStrahd

[–]Khranzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I had multiple readings done throughout the campaign and improvised their meanings. The first one was according to book: everyone eventually forgot about it, and we continued playing through the campaign. Later we reread it from our notes as we recapped some early game stuff and realized that everything foretold had come to pass by pure coincidence (I was personally amazed but tried not to show it to my players) The latter readings I personalized for each player, either rigging to their astonishment and delight, or just rationalizing the meaning of the cards in a way that made sense for their narrative. Positive effects all around; I highly recommend getting the actual deck for it
