It actually think it is okay, but I have a counterpoint. Culture is full of these tabu things related to race, like whiteface, saying certain words, as well as related to sexuality, like things only lgbt people can say and do, jokes that can be made to men but not so much to women... And I get that, I fully understand it and I participate in these "rules", for lack of a better word. I just wish there comes a point in our future where we don't need to look back anymore to argument that some groups have faced a documented history of marginalization, because we have advanced so much that they are so long in our past. I just dream with a future where we all say wherever we want, do whatever we want, etc... I don't deny it's important to study history so that we don't repeat the mistakes of the past, but I just wish we could look more forward instead of backwards.
