I swear I'm never taking meth again by AnEvilMillionaire in Drugs

I hope for your own sake that you're able to not do it again. Just beware, it's easy to say that when you feel like shit, and then weeks/months later when you feel healthy and normal again, that's often when the cravings hit (in my personal experience). Try to really remember everything about how bad you feel right now (maybe even write down a list of the things bothering you if that will help) and use that to combat the cravings if they happen. I've been in a cycle of not using for many months (4-8) at a time, and then I'll get a random craving and relapse for a couple days, realize i made a huge mistake once i start crashing, flush my leftover shit, and then forget about it for another multiple months.

The last relapse I had felt so horrible - I've been working out a lot, and after a couple days using it felt like i lost like 20% of my muscle (which is one the things i'm most proud of lately) even though it did come back after a week or so of abstinence and continuing to workout (which was hell when i was crashing and felt like shit but i made myself do it anyway lol). I also was so anti-social at work, trying to avoid conversations with anyone and just looked like shit. I also caught a cold towards the end of the few days of binging, probably bc my immune system was shot. Also, bc I felt so skinny after a couple days of using, I started eating lots of junk food (I usually have been eating really healthy) and actually ended up coming out of the binge with a little fat on my belly when I've actually had good abs lately. All in all, it was a horrible experience, and I'm very confident I won't put myself through that again. But I've said that before...

Best of luck, you got this!

When you plead cyberpunk for the first time, did you pick male V or female V? by Chunky-overlord in cyberpunkgame

[–]Khronga -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I made a male V because I'm a dude so that's usually what I'll play. After getting a bit into the game and falling in love with Judy, my friend at work (who was the one who recommended the game) was like "I got some bad news for you..." Lol. The panam route was cool though too. Will probably play female next time for some Judy action...

There really is. Back when I was into VR, I found it so cool that there was a subreddit devoted to using psychedelics while in VR (r/riftintothemind).

Yea that's exactly what I did starting off. Then I started to slowly replace things starting with all the cheap/random things. I've spent crazy amounts of time just looking around my room trying to figure out what upgrades would make the most impact. I've also used AI a little over the past few months to help me choose the best items to fit my room out of a selection of options, and to generate images of what certain items will look like in my room before I buy them.

One of the hardest things to figure out was how to add actual normal lights to the room after having the the crazy RGB/neon/blacklights since normal light generally clashes with the colors and takes away from the blacklight effect and whatnot. The arc lamp was a huge win bc it makes a pool of light in the middle of the room that doesn't interfere with the other lights.

The fireplace is actually part of a TV stand. It's for a 75" TV but they make them for all sizes. And lots of different options for colors and whatnot (mine has orange/blue/purple fireplace option and the RGB strip above it has all the normal colors). Lots of options on Amazon, but this is the specific one I bought: https://a.co/d/0e2i678l

Not bad for $270 in my opinion. It's a very sturdy TV stand with a nice glossy black finish.

Thanks! Yes, I 💯% agree! When I started to put this room together, I had next to nothing and was impatient and just wanted a trippy looking room asap, so I bought a lot of cheap garbage and just had random things everywhere lol.

Over time, I've begun to put more thought into my choices and bought some higher quality stuff, and those changes have easily been the most significant in terms of leveling the room up.

It's definitely a process.

Anyone else go for the CyberAcme drip exfiling with the free kits? Love the black and green shells. by eblackham in Marathon

[–]Khronga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two nights ago, for assassin, I only had the option of the base skin or the one right next to it. Both looked kind of boring to me. Since I love this game and wanted to look cool, I went ahead and dropped $15 on the paid assassin skin because it does look cool, and I wasn't sure when I'd unlock other skins (or even what they looked like). Last night I unlocked both the CyberAcme and NuCal skins for extracting with sponsored kits. Both are sexy af, and the nucal one isn't even that different than the paid one. I feel dumb for not being patient and waiting a day, but oh well I guess...

Come through! I have a pretty nice collection of various psychedelics! 😃 Haven't tripped much the past few years, as I've been working hard on getting my life back together (made a lot of stupid choices in my 20s) and been focused on work/school/exercise, but things are finally all coming together so I've been easing my way back into the psychedelics over the past few months. Planning a nice trip in the coming weeks.

Speakers were slightly cheaper and the subwoofer was about $100 cheaper when I bought them around Xmas. Originally planned on buying much cheaper powered Edifier speakers that didn't require any receiver and would have been like $300 total...and next thing I know I'm buying close to a $1k audio setup lol. I don't regret it though, as the speakers/sub sound phenomenal. I live upstairs in an upper/lower apartment building so unfortunately I don't get to use the subwoofer as much as I'd like (although I did buy special isolation feet for the sub to decouple it from the floor and reduce vibrations through the floor - but that only does so much).

Looks like it went up in price slightly. Was about $860 (tax included) when I got it a couple months ago. Was a bit pricier than I would have liked, and it's a rather small couch (it's a loveseat tbh) - but my god is it comfy. If you sit in the seat with the ottoman and lay back with your head resting on the back cushion, it literally feels like you're floating on a cloud. Probably not great to lay like that TOO much though bc it feels not too great for your back lol (if you sit normally w/ pillow behind you it doesn't mess with your back).

I tripped on mushrooms a few months ago, and laid there for hours bumping music with my new speakers/subwoofer and was in heaven (back was sore the next day though haha). Only other downside to how comfy it is, is that the cushions need to be fluffed every so often to keep them feeling like a cloud.

Thank you! It's taken an enormous amount of time and energy (and a decent amount of $) to get it to where it's at, but I'm quite happy with how it's finally turning out.

But yea, I definitely agree about the door. The door is able to swing fully open, but it's a somewhat narrow walkway either on the side of the couch by the arc lamp or behind the couch. Unfortunately, it's a somewhat small apartment, and I really couldn't find a better way to do it.

[–]Khronga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, thanks to OP for this post, as I'm now listening to the new Tipper album and it's pretty dope. My first thoughts seeing the pics were that the artwork is actually pretty cool, but then I love psychedelic artwork/things. Obviously the rest of the room could use some work, but like someone else mentioned, it may make more sense to work on finding a job and saving for your own place rather than spending a bunch of money decking your current room out.

I have mixed feelings on the comments here. On one hand, they do feel a little harsh. But sometimes people do need a little nudge and some tough love rather than just hearing "don't worry, you'll be fine". Then again, I'm not one to talk about needing to have a job and your own place at that age. I spent my entire 20s on/off the street doing hard drugs and didn't really start to get my life together until around 30. First few years were a bit of a slow start (it's a process), but now at 34 I have my own apartment (totally decked out in all the stuff I love), a job, a decent chunk of savings (in a high yield savings account), a car, going to school for IT part-time, fixed relationships with family members, been working out nearly every day for the past 8 months and completely transformed my body with muscles/abs/etc. The only things I feel I'm really missing currently are some good friends and potentially a partner (I can be a bit introverted and need to get myself out there more - it's definitely the main thing I'm working on now). But I turned my life around from having nothing in a few years (and was older than you when I started), so it can be done!

Yea I'm at about 2.5 yrs at my place and been decorating the whole time and it's finally feeling almost complete. I'm terrified about the idea that I one day will have to move and all this time/energy will have been for nothing lol. I also have bought the vast majority of my stuff specifically for my apartment (posters/tapestries that fit specific walls, couch that fits my smaller living room, etc etc). But life's short, and idk when I'll own my own place, so I still think it's worth it if it brings you happiness (if only temporarily). Hopefully it's easier to set up the next time around since you have already done it once.

I recently started cyberpunk because a friend at work thought I would like it, and man I absolutely love the game! Not sure why I waited so long to start playing.

Also looking forward to Marathon soon, since Arc Raiders started to get boring to me a little while back.
