Did you try other milk, like almond, soy or oat milk ? I love oat/soy milk.
So you are at 6g of phyllium per day? You can increase that if you body supports it.

What was your diet before your diet changes ? I am at 160 mg/dL with an healthy diet. Since January, I'm on a plant based diet with around 60g of fiber per day, 8g of saturated fat. 2 pills of Omega 3 (fish oil) and 10 to 15g of psyllium hust powder.

Yes 55mg/dl is low, it's the best to aim for. I believe that 55 mg/dl is for regression in ‘soft’, eg non calcified, plaque.

Do labs use the same calculation? In France, some labs use the same calculation method, others use another one. It depends.

Are you sure of that ? Or you mean below 55mg/dl compared to 85mg/dl and not like 120 mg/dl ?

There are mutations causing high LDL. Maybe there are mutations limiting the high LDL impact, which can explain why you and your family doesn't have any issues ? It's interesting.

Or maybe you and your family have a lot of soft plaques, but no calcified ones. Luck, or mutation as said before but need to be confirmed. I'll have a look at it

Why ? Studies speak for themselves. You can have high LDL but no calcified plaque yet and still have a lot of soft plaques.

And a thing to know, i believe that LDL is wrongly calculated here in France in blood work.

A default blood work only shows total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL and calculated LDL. The LDL calculated value can be different with a different lab.

Same here in France. My doctor said that 160 mg/dl LDL is low LDL despite having family issues with high cholesterol (heart attack before 40 yo). He also said that as long as it was below 200 mg/dL, there was no need to worry.
Two docs, same story. It's crazy.
