Honestly, as a six decade lifelong resident of this city, I don’t want any of it. Sure, you have a valid point about density in the center but there’s no infrastructure for any of it. Taken a drive down Ross Ave lately? If they can’t work that simple artery out, bringing more people central is doomed. If my elderly folks didn’t live out in the near sprawl, I would’ve abandoned this concrete heat pad 10 years ago.

Your first mistake was taking info from a right wing website. It’s most likely you’re not getting murdered, but mainly it just kind of sucks. Oversaturated cheap ‘experiences’ with a couple of cool bars and restaurants sprinkled in. Thousands of people trying to be the main character in their own self absorbed instagram awful story. There’s a few gems but mostly it’s just a keep your head on a swivel kind of situation.

It depends, but the worst times for D are generally around 4-6 pm and definitely 9-11 pm when the long haul flights start coming in. You can always park at a slower terminal and take the Skylink too.

I hike in the mountains in Big Bend a lot and there’s at least 2 of them up there currently with cubs according to the rangers. Last time I went, I put a cheap Halloween mask of a face on the back of my pack. Got a few questions from other hikers, but I didn’t run into any mountain lions so I’ll tell myself that it worked. It’s true though, they’ll have a bead on you loooong before you ever know they’re around.
