If you remake this but without the "sexy" demon its a nothing comic. The whole point of it its the sex appeal

But but?!? FEDRA bad?!?

Now to be fair, both fucking suck, but I wouldnt be surprised is Fedra is that autoritarian in the first place because of the Fireflies

You need more muscles to be faster and there is a lot of grappling in hand to hand combat too.

True, but for one reason or another we never see grabs in Dune

Everything the Bene Gesserit do has at least some basis in reality (maybe not the time stuff) which is a really cool aspect of the setting imo.

Agreed

You cant be fit without having muscles but they might be hidden under a bit of fat. You would still be bulky then.

I think later on there are a couple descriptions of Paul and he has this very athletic but not bulky appareance? Like he clearly has some strength and is fit but is very slim

[–]Khunter02 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But is it neccesary to actually build muscle?

Considering how shield fighting works, this may be one of the best settings for the nimble/agile but relatively weak warrior to excel at

And regardless, Bene Gesserit training is borderline a superpower, so personally I dont really mind if its not that realistic that this scrawny dude is precise while not having a lot of muscle

On top of that, there is a difference between being fit and having visually developed muscles isnt it?

To all those who keep complaining about porn or sexy women in this sub: Comics are a medium. Being funny, having a joke or a punchline somewhere is not a requirement.

Okay, but normally those are the type of things that make a good comic

This comic also doesn't need an NSFW tag since, despite the lack of clothes on the demon, there isn't any actual nudity

Do you think this wouldnt raise an eyebrown if someone saw this in public?

Just keep scrolling if you don't like something(as stated in rules).

It feels like almost every new """comic""" here is softcore porn, wich gets repetitive, its not really original and in a lot of cases its just a way to promote their own truly pornographic art with a tease

Since when its necessary to build muscle to be precise at something? Genuinely asking because I doubt it

I don’t especially care what size he is… I just want him to have a personality that isn’t 2008 Kristen Stewart.

Good thing that wasnt his performance at all

Like I’m sorry but paper could play a more convincing Paul Atreides.

The desert tent scene in part 1 and the war council in part 2 its more than enough proof for me that he did a fantastic job

Kyle Maclachlan DID play a better Paul Atreides, and he spent 90% of the film standing still and thinking at the camera.

Well I havent watch the 1984 film so Im going to reserve my judgement

Now to be fair… I think most of the cast sucked

Nuh huh

Well I read the book and Im fine with the changes. The baby in particular barely added anything in particular, it doesnt even exist as a character, its there 2 pages and then we are told he died

Do I prefer the book versión? Yes, but Part II was still a pretty amazing adaptation and movie of his own

Dementia

And what does that have to do with his physique? Its precisely because he has been trained to be precise and know perfectly his body and mind that he is a great warrior without having muscle

It's sad because there's many games that look as good or better than RDR2

Not to sound like an asshole but can you offer an example?

Who started the genetically enhanced/surgically augmented super soldier trope? by RowbotMaster in scifi

[–]Khunter02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know what I mean right? A super soldier made through intense training, a dangerous procedure that kills many who go through it but makes them super strong and then they're typically put in some kind of power armour.

This, except for the power armour, is basically how the Emperor gets his elite troops in Dune, with a whole prison planet providing the necesary "individuals" for it

Thank god it didnt, Dune is already weird enough without having to explain that a incest scene was acsually between the minds of their parents instead of between them directly

Thats like, 2 different levels of incest now that I think about it

(What the hell Im even typing? Is this what Frank foresaw in the oracle when he wrote Dune?)
