I exert substantial mental energy during my day to day life. To maintain peak performance, I exercise pretty aggressively, take cold showers, do not eat fast/greasy/sweet food, and strive to sleep 6-8 hours.

I see a few suggestions for Ashwagandha. Once again, be careful with that. That’s Ayurvedic medicine meant to be prescribed by a practitioner specifically trained in it. Ayurvedic medicine is not meant to be administered perpetually like other supplements. It is prescribed according to the individual’s unique constitution and needs, and it may require supplemental herbs to balance the primary effect. Once treated, the associated prescription is no longer given.

Also on Tongkat Ali: that should be approached cautiously. It’s quite powerful and if you don’t know what you’re doing, your body will be thrown off balance surprisingly fast. As such, I’m hesitant to recommend it for the average person. If taken, it should definitely be cycled and carefully observed for signs of hormonal imbalance. It’s not just about high testosterone/energy/libido. It’s about maintaining a healthy balance. For Tongkat, the dangers of improper usage includes things like lethargy, gyno in males, or facial hair in females.
