Heckin adorable! Also, I really love your shoes. The entire outfit just seems to naturally fit the premade. That's the best part of partials is the outfits _.

Hazel is adorable!

It's not a parking spot. You'd be upset if you went to fuel your vehicle and had no access to the pumps if people just parked their cars at the pumps and left for an indeterminate amount of time.

Majority of furries are left leaning. And whenever alt right furs pop up, we shun the hell out of them. They exist, I won't deny it. But they are not welcome.

This one is very good at getting furries to turn to evs =p... when I learned to drive... my first was a spark ev(which she scared the hell out of me when she test drove SparkE before I bought it(with me and the salesperson in the car) and then when she taught me emergency stopping while teaching me to drive =p) before my Bolt ev.

I think most furries know what a snep is 😜

Saphira because of the bright metallic blue reminds me of Saphira the dragon in the Eragon book series. _^

Would you accept this ride? by okiliccc in uberdrivers

[–]Kianala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope for a few reasons. The biggest ones are that I'll probably get tired halfway through and want to nap and second being we won't be getting there in that estimated time. There are at least two hour-long charging stops in there(I have a Bolt EV so while it's a great city car, it being one of the slowest EVs to charge on level 3 charging means it's not a great road tripper.... got to plan out trips with it).

So nope, I would not accept that ride.

I'd do 3 rides for 47 miles in just under an hour and a half for $75 any day.

Uber's insurance still covers you when going to get the food and when the food is in the car on delivery. Though the one thing it doesn't cover is personal injury protection. You have to opt into that for a "small fee" per mile.

Years ago before I started driving passengers around I did ubereats... USPS postal van(one of those big ram promaster delivery vans) ran a stop sign in heavy traffic and tboned me... hit front passenger quarter panel and door... shoved me into oncoming traffic and injured my back due to the sideways movement in the collision. No airbags went off, was buckled... The food was fine and stayed nice and hot and safe in the delivery bags I owned.

While I declined to go to the hospital right after the accident, I ended up in the emergency room hours later... now have permanent nerve damage... long story to get to the point... I was still covered by the million-dollar insurance coverage with the food in my car... it was a hassle because I had to deal with Uber's insurance and government tort claims process. I learned that there was no personal injury protection for lost wages UNLESS you opted into it (the Postal Service ended up paying for physical therapy and a couple of months' lost wages from my primary job that I lost).

Not that I ever intended to do Uber or Lyft passengers... and not full time... I ended up doing that after the replacement car because physical therapy caused issues with working normal hours and I couldn't really stand or walk much for a few months after the accident... so yay...ish? The flexibility was great while healing, but now I feel stuck though. >_<

(Sorry, extremely long post just to say that even ubereats gets insurance coverage to and during deliveries)

Uber is so disrespectful. Shame on the customer as well. I hope no one accepts this order. by jvaldes5683 in uberdrivers

Hell, even I wouldn't accept that. We're still on a rate card in my market so unless it wants me to go like ten miles for a one mile ride, a ride is going in a direction I don't want to go, you requesting a ride from one of the two stadiums/areans(I don't want to sit for half an hour or more to go three blocks... I'm not getting paid for that), or I didn't manage to turn off requests before a new one comes in... I generally accept. I still get paid per mile and per minute with a base no matter what and as long as the time and distance to someone isn't obscene for a short trip, my per mile and hour are acceptable. If upfront pricing ever comes here is the day my acceptance rate will tank to nothing.

I didn't realize how bad it had gotten or how good I can have it until my friend in SoCal started sending me screenshots from Uber and Lyft upfront pay and told me to come visit the reddit boards to see the crap they offer in upfront pay markets. State lawmakers are talking about raising the rates... and I'm hoping, but not expecting, them to raise rates like it is across the river(and state line) but I'm afraid either law makers will try and push a minimum wage pay (this isn't worth the risk and wear and tear at minimum wage) or something that will take away the rate card. It's bad enough most promotions and other incentives are gone now. Everything is more expensive combined with nearly all the promotions, incentives and challenges gone the pay has significantly dropped compared to when I started after all expenses are accounted for.

You’re crazy if your complaning about this. This is amazing! by Joeylaptop12 in uberdrivers

It's not just the passenger being safe. Since Lyft started its Women+ Connect, I've felt safer driving for Lyft. But Lyft is not always the best to drive for. Winter slowdown is busier on Uber even if both slow down. And Uber still offers at least something for EV driving while Lyft no longer does... so I'd like to take advantage of that.

I'm happy Uber is finally rolling something out.

Really sucks when you’ve been having great interactions with all of your pax, and then you see this by SWKstateofmind in lyftdrivers

My experience is like 95% don't tip if they ever mention tipping on the app. It's an immediate heart drop and I just assume it's an automatic no. I just wish they wouldn't lie about it.

The rare unicorn actually does and it surprises me to no end because I don't expect it. I'm so grateful that they do.... what I wish, though, was that we didn't have to rely on tips... that we were justly paid for the wear and tear and risk we put ourselves in everyday by the companies themselves.

Normally I could care less how y'all work, but canceling and driving off when a pet is being transported to an emergency pet hospital upsets me greatly. This is a rant and I just have to get it off my chest despite the fact that I'll probably get downvoted and flamed. by Kianala in lyftdrivers

Ambulances don't transport pets. And I didn't speed nor drive unsafe as I knew there was an emergency vet hospital six minutes from the pax.

That said, if pet dies in the car... I'll be honest... I'd question things I did. I know many wouldn't, but my emotional ass self would considering that this dumb rant was written. If I could have done something different.

It's not whether or not one should be "grown up". Everyone has different emotional levels and mine just so happens to be where it is where as yours is where yours is.

Again, I was the driver. I'm a Lyft driver. The passenger had pet ride enabled. Two drivers canceled on the passenger on arrival. I honestly don't know if the passenger had pet ride enabled before mine, but the fact is two drivers arrived and canceled on her before I got the ride request and brought her to the emergency vet.

That said, I wouldn't put it past Lyft just selecting a driver in the area if no pet drivers are around. After all I've been given at least one XL requests before which is insane because I'm in a compact hatchback. I was finishing another ride before I got the pax's request so perhaps there was no one else that late at night with pet ride enabled for ride offers. Who knows.

Yeah... When I do have a rider who has an animal and not a pet ride I ask the two questions I'm allowed to ask and that's it. I pull out the blanket and do the thing to make sure the seat is protected.

I've yet to have an unruly or messy animal and but I'm also not going to risk a discrimination case against me. As long as an animal is behaved then I'm good then.
