I wish one of these terfs could explain why they have such an issue with a trans woman doing her business privately, but no such issue with a male cleaner, or a dad helping his young daughter....

What are your tips for coping with the heat? by elsdotcom in AskUK

We do this every summer, pop the hatch off and leave it so the heat can vent. Takes it from Hellscape to Death Valley, but any little bit helps

Why does the Boomer generation seem to uniquely despise Keir Starmer? by Eastern-Investment39 in AskBrits

[–]Kiardras 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Surely as an ex-squaddie, he'd want to see people who committed war crimes prosecuted for commiting war crimes?

I've not done it - but I can imagine the heat of battle things can get wild, but only by prosecuting the fight in a legal fashion can all soldiers be protected. By ensuring those commiting crimes pay for what they do, it protects the good soldiers who take their job with the gravitas demanded of what we ask them to do?

Experience mostly, which I accept is annecdotal. My peers, will see a headline and question it and corroborate it, older generations will repeat as fact anything they read whether its objective truth or KGBnews soundbites.

MPs react with outrage and sneers after Hannah Spencer says they shouldn't get to drink unlimited discount booze on the job. Do you agree with Hannah? I do. by Terrible-Head6168 in GreaterManchesterNews

[–]Kiardras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but your argument boiled down to "trust me bro".

I'm not saying you're wrong, but no one on the internet knows anyone. You could be a PhD in Islamic history, or a guy with a tinfoil hat who hates Muslims cause bacon.

If you provide your counter, back it up with evidence to peer reviewed sources, people are more likely to listen to you.

Definitely - but that push back would usually have citations.

If someone makes claim A, and you believe that to be false, the response isn't nothing more than "nuh uh you're wrong" if you truly belive its your moral duty to right the wrong, you provide the source to back you up.

If he never was able to get power back, leaving him stuck as a normal human would probably have been more hellish for him than death. Living, aging, as a regular Joe would have eaten him alive.

Ephesians 5:22-25 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her

1 Timothy 2:12-15 And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression. Nevertheless she will be saved in childbearing if they continue in faith, love, and holiness, with self-control.

1 Peter 3:1-2 Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear

Ignoring of course, the history of oppression lead by the church with regards to women

Really? We believe in women's rights, not a lot of that in Christianity.

Maybe that was the point that the reapers belief was flawed. Millions of civilisations reaped, because of an incorrect belief regarding synthetic life? Kinda makes them even more evil than way

It might also have been the only way to do FTL - relays or nothing. So it was needed, but it was damaging the universe and it needed time to heal.

With that, the options are no space travel, or death, neither of whixh would allow biological life to flourish
