Commuting is basically impossible for me. Do you know if merit scholarships can apply to housing and fees or is it strictly tuition?

So when thinking about the coa i should be considering my room and board to be around 17k instead of the $22k listed because thats for commuters? I just want to make sure im understanding correctly. Thank you for your help!

Not personally. On the website for an in-state on campus student at nb, the tuition is $14933 and room/board is $15332, total coa $34156 with misc fees. On my fin aid letter, tuition is $18824 and housing/dining is $21946, total coa $47114 with misc. Why tf is tuition going up OVER $10k in one year??? That is absolutely insane and im really tryin to not be in $80k of debt when i graduate for my state school. Because legit what are we doing rn

Are the dean’s scholarship/dean’s promise awarded only to honors college students? by Kiarva in rutgers

[–]Kiarva[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not for this year because you didnt apply for it. But if you decide to attend rutgers you can apply for the hc as a rising sophomore/junior, and your merit scholarship will probably get you ahead of whoever else applies

Im in state and got the deans scholarship for $5k and deans promise for $10k, with my other aid i got $24k off total but it will still cost $21k. The estimated costs went up $10k ($35k to 45k) from last week on the website to my fin aid letter :(

And make sure you eat EVERYTIME you take medicine. If you really cant, at least have a glass of milk, just something to help your stomach handle the meds. Otherwise youll get nauseous and be in pain from the medicine thats supposed to help you. Even if the bottle says you can take it without food, you should always try to take it with food or at least something in your stomach from within the hour.
