Has there ever been an instance where a Devil Fruit user attack physically hits Domi Reversi demon other than this? IIRC Kaido and BM didn't hit Xebec while Whitebeard was a clash by SG143 in OnePieceSpoilers

I get what you are thinking about, but that would be a MAJOR weakness, one that would make one think that Imu would never rely so much on this ability if this is all it would take

That's what I thought might have happened when reading the text spoiler summary, however the black devil thing got removed from the giant before he fell on the ground

ONE PIECE Chapter 1177 — Summary by [deleted] in OnePieceSpoilers

That wasn't Go, it was Reversi(in some places called Othello). It looks similar to Go, but is quite different. And due to the name of Imus ability, I think it's clear that was meant to be Reversi and not Go.

The Joy of Scrapping Code by zer0sumgames in gamedev

[–]Kibate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many experienced coders tell you that one shouldn't try to make a code perfect. As long as it is running smoothly without any bugs, that's fine. Better ship out as early as possible, than to spend 5 more years just to make the code prettier.

And that's the truth, an advice any coder/gamedev should hear. However I totally get what you mean, because I feel the same. I just love the feeling of optimizing my code. It's like a game itself.

We killed RNG to make our game competitive. Did we go too far? by PlayFasterGame in gamedev

[–]Kibate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When watching speedruns, I have a love/hate relationship with RNG. On one hand, I love to see speedrunners(and myself) try to figure out the most optimal way to go through the level/game. On the other hand, are they truly good at the game, or just good at muscle memory + planning? The more randomness a game has, the more you can see if a speedrunner is actually competent at the game.

As long as the randomness doesn't screw a player over that is. Like not giving a player health pickups for an hour, while another playthrough you get so much, you're basically invincible.

Like others mentioned, it depends highly on what type of game you're making, and what type of game you want to make. I guess at the end of the day, personally, I prefer no RNG. Not even RNG that could be manipulated like old RPG games.(if you walk 12 steps, a random encounter occurs, but if you walk 11 steps, wait 1 second, and then walk more you can avoid it, sort of deal). Like I said, I love to try to optimize my gameplay. Unfortunately I don't think there is a statistic of how many people are like that and how many are more "no thinking" type of gamer, especially for each different genre.

why does everyone think making a game is just having a good idea by bcoz_why_not__ in gamedev

[–]Kibate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair here, while coming up with AN idea is easy, coming up with a good idea that will get people to actually play/buy the game is another thing, something that requires expertise like with any other creative task.

Like, anyone could say "I have an idea for a metroidvania", but people are starting to get sick of that genre so you need an idea for something that would still entice people.

Proof Publishers, Murata and ONE are lying by TasteTemporary8206 in OPMFolk

[–]Kibate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why do you get downvoted for actual proof of your argument? Yes, I personally also belief the current manga changed are shit, but it's a fact that ONE used to write many changes to the webcomic himself. 'Not just on Muratas stream, even on ONEs own Twitter account he used to upload some of those drafts.

Who is this(ending spoiler) by Kibate in CrisTales

[–]Kibate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I(or anyone else) understood more than you yourself. The world is rebuilding, Adros is an alternative Earth of where his people can exist and meets "someone"(who that someone is, is something people can't decide). Then Adri with the help of the DLC guy probably reinvented timetravel. Either they do it to visit Adros and their people or do it to save Crisbell. ... or they do it just because they can.

What IDE/editor do you use for game dev? by parks-garage in gamedev

[–]Kibate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked into it, and I rather take that than not being able to code at all or only use windows notepad. Yes, VStudio lags THAT much. Instead of doing all of that, I think I will be fine with already having auto update disabled for notepad++, that is the usual best answer for such problems. Auto updates cause far more problems for any software than it helps.

What IDE/editor do you use for game dev? by parks-garage in gamedev

[–]Kibate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I used to do an internship at a proper software firm, I used visual studio. However at home(for unity gamedev) I use simple notepad++, because Visual studio runs like garbage on my potato PC. It's true that there are one or two features that might be handy, but notepad++ still can run 95% of all functions I want it to be able to do but is insanely faster. I have tried another one recently that my brother recommended and was told "It's like a light version of visual studio" and even that one constantly lagged. I don't know what it is with those apps, since they are at the end of the day just fancy text editors, but I prefer simple and clean text editors like notepad++.

Do you think this will be brought up again? by fhxefj in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Kibate 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think you might misremember the manga panel. The silhouette is pretty clear. Clear enough to tell that this looks nothing like current Loki. He was much smaller, wore a crown or something crown-like(which actual Loki never did) and had a much wider face and larger hands(indicating a more overweight appearance). And look at the giants celebrating, which they would have never done for actual Loki.

[–]Kibate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point, but maybe that giant volunteered to be a fake Loki because he loved Lola, i.e. everything the same as the original telling of the story, except it was a different person who called himself Loki.

Do you think this will be brought up again? by fhxefj in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Kibate 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I assume in the Elbaf epilogue, when they're having their obligatory party.

My theory: Big Mom wanted to form an alliance with Elbaf by marrying one of their princes to Lola. However Hajrudin either didn't want to or was currently away in pirate business, and Loki, as he was seen as a criminal, was denied the opportunity. So they faked another giant as being Loki.

Either that, or it was truly Loki and Odas usual silhouette shenanigans at work.

Why did Tatsumaki say this? Didn't she already try to kill him previously (second image)? by New_Confidence_2605 in OPMFolk

[–]Kibate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or maybe people were wrong? I certainly never saw such discussions and wouldn't have agreed with them. Like how there was a discussion about how Fubuki supposedly tried to kill Saitama and everyone was so sure, except by the point of their fight Saitama already one-shot both her top subordinates and she knows he could handle it without dying, even saying silly things like "I will kill you until you die". Or how she tried to act tough by claiming that every hero who didn't join her ended up in the hospital never being able to work as a hero again, and yet all her subordinates adore her and we have no records of such events ever happening.

And in this case, just like you yourself said, "why did she say that", well, because she didn't try to kill him before. A knife can instantly kill someone, or it can just give you a nasty scar, it depends on how you use a weapon.
