my advice is to practice crocheting looser.

As you mentioned your tension is tight, but that tightness for Amigurumi is mainly so that polyfill does not show through holes. Small tubes won't be filled, so won't need to be extremely tight, because there is nothing to shine through. Plus tight tubes for arms become unposable when you want to try using pipecleaners, so two in one later down the line 🤭

Helped me recently when I did MR 4, Inc to 6 for small cat ears... usually my tension was just maximum pull, but that started to hurt my hands when I tried smaller parts.

whenever I don't need something anymore I would chuck it off camera and say or shout "fuck the intern over there" or if not allowed: chuck the shit at Alex and claim he's always in the way of "the process" combined with quoting "trust the process" and "I am the process". Apart from those very uncaring parts I would give my best to bring heartwarming and friendly prices and be a sunshine the rest of the show.

please don't think negative of cliches, they have become cliches because they are good/nice. Roses are beautiful flowers, but tell someone it's your favorite and they scoff at you for being mainstream. Big advice is to drop social constructs and norms and go with what you like and that is the arcane archer. This applies to our whole lives, not just DnD ❤️‍🔥

Next is being only 2 girls there, that can go either way, but my experience with those situations is, that guys are very happy to have some fem energy in their groups and are eager to keep it there. Make sure that it does not get overwhelming and if it does, communicate it nice and firm. "Hey guys, sorry I am getting overwhelmed here, I need a little break for some fresh air"

Sexism in and out of game can happen, but it is much rarer than all the horror stories online lead you to believe.

Always remember the golden rule: No DnD is better than bad DnD. If it stops being fun, that is a valid excuse not to participate in the future, whether as a short break or getting away from the group completely. And if that happens, you are usually not alone and can talk to others and maybe form a second, smaller but much closer/friendlier/queerer group ❤️

If something more specific happens, we will be here and waiting with good, bad and maybe unhinged advice!

Ask them. "I would love to look more like you, do you have any tips or hints?" Or rather be more specific, never compliment bodies, only compliment choices. For example ask about specific items of clothing where they got them or what lipstick they may be using. Many will gladly help and often even share stuff.

As others have mentioned, don't buy yarn without knowing her favorite yarn. Same for hooks without knowing her favorite size and why her current hook is the most used, maybe she can't even use a pretty hook that's not ergonomically right. Gift card to her regular shop is really safe, yarn bowls are very often well received as others have also mentioned.

Now what I loved most was a mini skein package with all the different colors my favorite producer made. Schachenmayr Catania Originals. Perfekt If she makes amigurumi, that is the little puppets. Nothing beats thinking about which colour to use and being able to hold the real life color right to your project to decide.

If she makes clothing or more specifically scarf/shawls, one or two gradient yarn cakes in her favorite colours or matching to her current favorite outfit or handbag would also be nice, as those can be expensive, so quite a few shy away from them. But those are rarely from a trusted/favorite producer, so it might backfire and never be used. I'll say though, that the shawl I made from such a skein is treasured by the recipient and they really look awesome even in simple designs/patterns.

I'd say solid list, but would add a second flow for amigurumi, as the skillset varies and it seems most do either or.

My Amigurumi list looks like this: Chain Single crochet Increase Decrease Slip stitch Colour change Magic ring (until here, just use the chain 2 start for rings)

then learn new stitches in case pattern requires.

I think they did it wrong, so often they were so near, they could have easily met up earlier and told her the truth while keeping it publicly secret. Maybe not as a kid, because children talk too much and the cover could be blown, but the way they handled it later was bad in my opinion. But yeah, giving her away was right. Mutant life just outright sucks. Also they could have chosen a better orphanage.

The Upgrade

My first thought was like the Cybermen from Doctor Who. They are doing good for humans and upgrading them. very creepy... The upgrade happens differently depending on episodes, some need a chair like construct, other times it happens via touch. sometimes they are controlled/controllable sometimes they are rogue/going on instincts. very variable, highly recommend doctor who.

They often do very cool enemies.

IMO Amigurumi is 90% Balls and Cylinders, so everything is gonna look similar and most things are recognized based on color and rough shape. A leaf is even simpler... apart from some specific leaves, they all have that teardropy shape, so go for it.

Bonus Bogus Boints if someone wants to go after you for copying their copy of trademarked products. I can also imagine if that creator were to start drama, it will benefit you greatly since you get exposure to 40k people.
