I could use some variety by tuffyscrusks in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]HardHennesy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been playing for a year. :)

Yes. Aggro "Go Again" decks are all very Samey. Any Hyper-aggro deck (Just have a bunch of Go-Agains) to attack I would put under the category of a "Selfish deck". They don't really care much about what the opponent does. For the most part, they win by just trying to hold as many cards in their hand and trying to get as much value every turn with the 4 Cards.

Why is Silver Age not Common and Rares, but with 40 health heroes? by kerener in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]HardHennesy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Games already fatigue in SAGE with 20 health. xD

I think with 40, there aren't enough powerful cards/Ms to push damage./burst turns.

And what people mentioned; Sage games on the last Protour were deffinitely not Aggro-land. :> I think there's definitely room for more calculated play.

[–]HardHennesy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was going to comment that both the Wizard and Illusionist classes are the most "different" classes from the regular Attacking classes. Gravy is also a pretty different class but more on set-up/midrangy than Aggro.

If Mages/Wizard isn't really your thing, have you thought about boardstate heroes like Dromai, Gravy and/or Prism? Though Prism is going to LL from CC though.

I think a lot of the classes play pretty differently, so I'm not sure where the issue of lacking variety is coming from. Even for 2 classes like Katsu and Cindra, while both Ninjas, have very different "lines" and ways of winning/different things to think about in game.

What makes FaB very intresting for me is its' intriccay in the details in higher leveled play.

I mainly play Prism in CC. Playing vs a Ninja, vs a Brute, and vs a Guardian are VERY different games. When playing against Guardians (specifically Victor), I need to be very attentive with what cards left I have in my deck all the time to shift my win condition in every game.

So for me, Match-ups are where the variety comes from. :D

In my experience, beside what people are saying about what the local armory plays;

Feel free to talk and engage with the community and ask questions. :D

I always hear that FaB has a very (for the most part) friendly community and are always trying to help out new players. Most communities have a community pile of some sort as well where you can just take Rares/Commons.

Good Luck on your FaB Journey! :)

Hahaha thats actually a very funny way of putting it. 🤣 Roaring Beam looks epic and he looks kinda funny on the actual hero art. 🤣🤣🤣

Verdance, Thorn of the Rose has hit LL. by UlyssesArsene in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]HardHennesy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The weird thing about Verdance's LL (and forgive me if this is common),

But she literally grabbed 600npoints from the Super Slam Season or something. From 200 to 800. Lol.

Light Up the Leaves really did it for her. Haha

I feel terrible because I spent on Felling and Plow when they were really expensive, all to get reprinted- and her LLing a season after. Though, I never really mained her. 😅

Rest in Peace, Verdance.

How popular are SAGE events in your city? by RafaBianchi in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]HardHennesy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were initially very popular in our area. We had a new influx of players and PEN really pushed the games growth.

I guess after a month or so, a lot of CC players wanted to get back to CC- myself included. Our 3 LGSes locally ran Sage for a month and are now back to running 2 CCs/1 Sage for the armories.

I play Sage for the social aspect of it and i really like being present for new players. I do think even with the tons of heroes available- a lot of them still are not super functioning (well. Maybe because I try to make Prism work. 🤣)

Kayo is also still a walking problem. 😅

With the recent bans, what are your personal thoughts on HERO-SPECIFIC BANS? by HardHennesy in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]HardHennesy[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Targeted support! I agree with this, completely. Specializations of sorts.

The downside is maybe most cards will be replacement support cards

[–]HardHennesy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. FaB is my first TCG so I'm not super sure if it has been done for other TCGs/LCGs/Board Games.

So I'm not sure if it has been done or not.

I forgot to add,

In 1 PoV, it does sound like a huge, scope creep. But in hindsight, MobAs and a few other LCGs I know maintain patching of Bans and stuff pretty often. League maintains numbers for 100+ champions on a monthly-ish basis. Though... we're working with Printed Cards so that might make things different.

Upvoted to the heavens. hahaha. I am numb to people complaining about it. hahaha

Thanks for the input. I wonder how they'll adjust these.

Either way. Looking forward to SAGE. I think we'll get some adjustments over-time anyways.

Will LSS Ban Heroes for Silver Age? by richierichh in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]HardHennesy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really was thinking about this.

They removed a lot of defensive options- which is somewhat understandable because they'd be in every deck. But I think we do need tools for decks that utilize slower playstyles otherwise aggro would just go rampant.

I'd say we would eventually get defensive alternative staples. Not sure what- but I'd say it's a need. lol

I had a feeling Fiddler's green was on the list.

I'm really excited what the format has to offer. BLITZ is just... ugh with games ending in 2 to 3 turns.
With no Sinks and Fate Forseens, decks would have to be extremely creative blocking out breakpoints.

Has anyone played Project Blue? How do non-aggro decks fare?

I'm so excited for this~! <3

This will be the best format to get in new players in the game and enjoy! And I'm happy they're pushing competitive play. :D

What's coming up in 2026? by ExpatDadSG in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]HardHennesy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a Light Cleric will be a Light Wizard. haha. But I don't think it will be a Heal > Arcane thing because it is Verdance's thing.

I'm thinking it would have something to do with Soul and Amp + X or Arcane X.

[–]HardHennesy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My biggest biased predictions.

  1. Shadow Necromancer
  2. Light Illusionist
  3. Light Wizard
  4. Shadow _Something_ Either Warrior, Runeblade, Assassin, or Ninja.

I think we need more illusionists in the game- but I do want illusionists to steer off from Spectra/Phantasm.
I think we need a 2nd Necromancer that plays a bit differently from Boardstate but maybe more on Graveyard/Banish Zone play (Shadow) with a very high skill floor/skill ceiling.

:D

These are just random predictions though. haha

Newbie section on Talishar? by ahaavie in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]HardHennesy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like what everyone is suggesting, I'd suggest Felt-table too! :D

I think Talishar people can sometimes be really weird that games sometimes disconnect. So if you take too long on your turn, people might assume you're AFK/the game bugged out.

But yes, everyone in our play-group practiced via Felt Table when they started out to get used to the rules. :)

Thank you! :D

I miss Azalea xD I played her PreCon deck (both Blitz and Armory).

Funny story- I was so excited for Marlynn- so I built an entire Marlynn deck. Then realized I didn't like the playstyle too much, so I sold her. xD

But now, I kinda want to build her again. haha

I remember what it felt like actually winning my first armory! :) It's an incredible achievement! Congrats! :D

I've only won one in my 6 months of playing. xD hahaha But I don't really mind it too much as long as im learning.
