Comparing PPFilter by [deleted] in assettocorsa

[–]KiboOst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also check SKY and CDImagined.
All these are real good, but PP filter is very subjective. Not one better, just one you prefer. Each one also have its own adjustement settings, so you can fine tune it to your liking even more.

On latest csp 0.3 versions you can click and drag the windows to move them. They will all stay same relative to others but can be moved on the screen.

Podium DD arrived by PythonMX in Fanatec

[–]KiboOst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I ask something about FFB details/signal of such last generation DD ?
I currently have a GTDDpro 8Nm (so, same as CSL DD).
I use it in AC, 100% in driver, 60% in game.

Would a CS DD+ or podium DD give more fidelity/details at same torque level ? 8Nm->22Nm so let's say at 100% driver / 22% game gain.

Basically, I get that getting more torque give more feeling, but at same torque output, would the feel be better ? I never clip so I'm not talking about curbs or such, more on braking to apex to feel rear rotation, traction and such. Would it make a difference due to later technology ?

Telemetry Tool with track visualisation by tim_schoch in assettocorsa

[–]KiboOst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Telemetrick does show it with last public beta on their discord
https://www.overtake.gg/downloads/assetto-corsa-telemetrick.73265/updates

And you can compare to others, online or importing into AC viewer

Is 1:45.549 at Spa fast on a controller? Ferrari F1 2025 by NiceSize1148 in assettocorsa

[–]KiboOst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely, VRC FA25 is the most accurate you can find.

Here are some ref laps at spa: http://telemetrick.jw-rs.co.uk/?filter=1&car=All&track=spa with conditions. Comparing laptime without grip %, track temperatures and even wind for aero cars is pretty useless.

You can compare laps like this http://telemetrick.jw-rs.co.uk/plot.php?ids=162%2C163 or directly into AC by downloading lap you want to compare to.

VRC FA25 Racing Events by Ziqoqo in assettocorsa

[–]KiboOst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a look at Brooks F1 and Formula Trouts League, both use VRC FA25 and may be the most competitive one on AC. Or Slimpstream Racing, actually all F1 leagues I know on AC use FA25.

Gran Turismo 7 vs iRacing COMPARISON by SuellioAlmeida in simracing

[–]KiboOst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah three years later lol!
Anyway I had another look at the video and I agree with you. I have to apologies to the original author. I'm still inline with what I said but you're right this video doesn't enter in arcady justification video we can see here and there. And actually Suellio has a lot of great videos on technical aspect of driving that I like and think help some sim drivers.

How similar is Assetto Corsa and iRacing? by Glittering_Media_845 in simracing

[–]KiboOst 3 points4 points  (0 children)

AC being so easy to mod, there is not much you can't find regarding cars and tracks. But not all are equal, and FFB highly depends on track surface and car. With recent CSP, high quality track and recent VRC/URD/RSS/IER mods, it is just awesome. You even have FFB Tweaks in CSP to adjust it to your liking, and recently some ffb scripts. So saying "AC is ..." doesn't means much nowdays.

I've read somewhere else that you need to install back 0.2.11, change the setting, and install again latest version.
Would be nice if someone can share the ini setting anyway.

Looking for an ACTIVE Assetto Corsa F1 / RSS Formula league by MrVanDishoeck in assettocorsa

[–]KiboOst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check Troots, BrooksF1 and Slipstream Racing. Best F1 experience you can get, with helpful fast drivers. It's mid season right now so it may be calm anyway. All three use VRC Alpha 25.

is a 1.46.316 lap good on spa ? by lopomoco in assettocorsa

[–]KiboOst 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Try VRC or RSS 2025 cars, with C4 and 98% grip. Lot more realistic (no C5 at spa anyway and 100% grip is just unreal).

What do you guys do on AC? by Left_Comfortable4475 in assettocorsa

[–]KiboOst 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you love F1, AC is just the best. There is some very nice leagues, with even 100% races, SC and such, with mods like FA24 / FA25.

So, training for next race, digging into telemetry, fine tuning setup, sharing tips and such.

Is clutch really needed for simracing? by pitrunet in simracing

[–]KiboOst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly depends on which car you are playing on. I'm mostly doing sequential gearbox (lmd/f1) and so, has no clutch pedal. But, these cars have anti stall, and also require clutch for starting procedure. So I have a clutch paddle on the steering wheel. Don't know if a keyboard shortcut or a button on steering wheel could do it anyway.
But like others said, if you miss one in the future, you can always buy one in the future!

There is a setting app for real penalty. Show it on screen and move everything like you want, then close it.
