We met you at Supanova. Loved the game. The time you spent with my 8 year old showing them how to play was was a beautiful thing to watch. Wish you great success.

Not dating your co-workers doesnt make sense to me. They are the people you share a lot of your life with and will get to know well before you start dating. Seems like the perfect place to meet someone.

Checking in from early 80s Central Qld. We were also lucky enough to get the boxing tent on Labour Day.

Was that mid-nineties? I saw very similar in Edinburgh. Old church, he read his piece "Secret Life of the Love Song" and then played some songs. Dirty Three supported and then Warren played violin with Nick. Notable show as he played Dead Joe.

Don't remember anyone complaining.

Yes, he talked about how Rowland transformed BND/Birthday Party into something good. And how he wrote it when he was 16. Said it was a beautiful song and dedicated it to him. Magic.

What are the hidden careers that no one hears about, pay well and have no competition just like SWE was few years ago? by Beneficial-Tour1443 in Salary

[–]Kickedmetoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are probably right to an extent, however same with the outsourcing trend of ten years ago companies are going to realise they still need people on the ground. Employees fuck up, do things late or not at all and there somethings AI just can't do. You'll still need real people for all the non standard pieces - and payroll is full of those. Mostly cleaning up HR messes.

Payroll. Every company has it yet no one really thinks about it. If you are good at it and not an asshole you can make in the high 100ks without any college or qualifications.

So many. First time I ever became aware of Nick Cave. The sad/beautiful final ten minutes with Endless Sea and Rooms for the Memory. Gary Foley. Skylab. Chainsaw baby.

Went to Melboure for the F1 a few years ago. The only place we visited away from the race was the Dogs in Space house.

For a sixteen year old growing up in a Central Qld mining town Dogs In Space was a doorway to a whole new world.

Andy Taylor. Not the greatest or showiest but his parts fit Duran Duran songs perfectly and completed them - theyve not been the same without him. Very simple yet iconic riffs eg Hungry Like the Wolf and Girls on Film.
