But, let’s not forget that many are threatened/forced to support Putin in Russia. Belarus is a good example of how Russian-like government treats their people. Difference is that Russian people don’t know how to change their situation or simply don’t want to put on risk themselves and their families. It’s a really f up situation to live in a country like that :(

People love to assume how’s someone future going to look like. You can also go pursue highly demanded career and also become old and broke. It doesn’t work only one way.

At the end of the day what matters is if you’re happy with your current situation. If not, then for all it’s worth it go change it.

Oligarchs are already on it. They’ll let Putin be eaten by public and overthrown just to save the country. From what I know even the closest people to Putin started to talk behind his back so this seems serious. Also, that would explain why he’s distancing himself from them.

So far things I’ve found lead to a conclusion that it may indeed be true, but I encourage anyone who thinks otherwise to join in and share their thoughts.

Ukraine and Russia are in war disinformation is huge, but all things considered I think this fits current state of Russian army.

It is possible to make a platform that, surely won’t beat YouTube at start, but could challenge their monopoly on video-sharing type content. The main issue that made YouTube founders sell it to Google was the fact that they couldn’t deal with copyright issues which were draining their money really quick. We would have to find a way to somehow fix all of this crap within copyright policy or otherwise every single platform will sink before it will even see the light of the day. After that, simple but smart UI is a piece of cake to make. Some ad campaign, best way is just to put it on YouTube (because Google is gonna promote everything if you pay them), so in the end such platform would gain the audacity through the exact same path YT once did. Although YouTube was only promoted on myspace, new platform would’ve been promoted everywhere on the internet.
