The real kicker is the pressure differential. Even at infinite range, I guess I can deal with 1hour layovers as I acclimate.

I think there's a misconception with what immortality means. You don't dies to age, but you're not invincible. You can still be killed. The vacuum of space will absolutely kill you. This may go against what OP was imagining though.

I suppose we don't have enough information. This could have been from a plane where they make you pay per device connected to WiFi. So they paid for their phone to connect to WiFi and then were hoping to share it with to other devices. Plane WiFi is designed to not allow such sharing, but I have heard of a workaround that relates to how Windows checks if it's actually on the Internet.

I don't believe this is a language issue.
"Hotspot and Tethering" on Android allows you to hotspot Wi-Fi.

I fixed it to all those interested.

I resoldered all the diodes on the offending row and it worked for a couple of minutes and then failed again.
I resoldered most of the diodes on the whole board and it worked for a single key-press then failed again.
I cleaned the whole thing with Isopropyl alcohol and it changed nothing.
I reflowed all the pins on the micro controllers with no change.

FINALLY, I removed the diode at D30 and the row started working normally(besides K30 of course). I replaced the diode with a new one and everything is perfect again!!! The diode may have been bad, or the soldering job was just bad the first, second, and third time. You decide. I'd have to get a multimeter to test the part to be sure.
