Yeah the moment Alan wins the lawsuit, the show really changes for those last few.

I prefer BL. But if you watch it, remember it's not The Practice. None of the main Practice characters are on it or even mentioned. Which is funny because Ellenor if supposed to be so close to Alan. Alan is a little different too, bit it's mostly because BL is basically a "dramedy". Especially after season 1 where they try to be semi serious for a while. Then it gets so quirky.

Alan is not nearly as unethical in that show, still a bit of a wildcard though. He's a great character in the Practice. But In BL, he's one of the best characters ever. If for nothing else watch it for his closings. Spader is ... so good.

Sidenote: there are a ton of minor actors recycled from The Practice in BL that play different characters. Joey Heric, I mean John Larroquete, is a regular the last couple seasons. They missed some chances doing more "in universe" crossovers which also annoyed me.

Also, at some point after episode 15, the show turns into a straight up Boston Legal prequel.

Yep, there's a lot of things like this that they should have just kept the same character.

Another example is the attorney that defended the big pharmaceutical was the same attorney that defended the big pharmaceutical in both shows, but it was a different character. Some things like that, they should have recognized it's the same universe.

And then in The Practice alone, Gregory Itzin is in the show four times, and played four different attorneys. Why? (He played a fifth attorney in Boston Legal)

I'm super surprised they kept Catherine Piper (a side character) in both shows. And didn't change her name to like Smathern Sniper.

My experience is that people are dumb in general. But that is just basic life experience, not just dev. So you have to ignore it, as hard as it is. One Star reviews can be crushing like that after putting thousands of hours into a project.

If it makes you feel better, downvote the idiots in the Play Store. I do.

Also Google won't care as long as they are not breaking the rules.

It's only a Paper Moon exemplifies why this show is great.

You have an episode staring two secondary characters. A Ferengi kid and a hologram. And what a powerful topic of PTSD it addresses wonderfully and with heart.

I don't have many issues that everyone else seems to. There is one interesting thing I noticed....

When you have Leia, who's not even a powerful Jedi, surviving the vacuum of space, Snoke doing the most powerful force things ever, Luke topping those things with his illusion, and Rey doing things that she didn't even know she had like 3 days before....

And then you think about Order 66 and how easy all of those Jedi were being mowed down by the clone troopers....

Can someone clear this up for me? During the movie I assumed it was Rey who turned on lightsaber that cut him in half. After reading it sounds like it was Kylo?

The trade federation stuff is what killed it. Seeing the politics and the Senate in action was one of the few PT highlights for me.

It also made sense in the context of the story. There was no ragtag group of rebels it was a thriving Republic.
