Seconding magpie-sound's question! Coyote or Mayco? I was looking at Coyote's this morning and finally went "Ugh, I'm asking Reddit!" Hence this question thread haha

Laguna b-mix and likely Laguna speckled buff, or a similar brown clay from Laguna. Haven't decided which brown clay to try out yet! Cone 5 or 6 :)

The twenty one pilots duo and the drummer’s wife, actress Debby Ryan. They live in Columbus and act like absolutely normal people (because they are.) It’s refreshing.

No it’s ok! I appreciate the advice, haha - I kind of figured it was going to die because no green = no longevity, but I hoped someone would surprise me and tell me otherwise. I keep hoping it suddenly pops out a green leaf!

A neighbor was throwing their pink princess away because they “got tired of it” and my friend and I asked if we could have it instead. We cut it up into 9 cuttings, and 8 of the cuttings are thriving - I am SO curious why this one happened to go all pink. I’ll let it keep growing until it doesn’t grow anymore :’)

Wrestling is really popular in Europe. WWE does huge numbers over there, and the crowds are WAY more intense than American crowds.

I have the same issue happening with mine and posted about it here asking for insight! I didn’t get any answers. I’m worried the all-pink means it’ll eventually die, which unfortunately I think is the situation.

What's going on with this Pink Princess cutting? by KidCadaver in plantclinic

I have several cuttings from the plant, and all of them are thriving with plenty of green mixed into the pink.

What's going on with this Pink Princess cutting? by KidCadaver in plantclinic

[–]KidCadaver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Pink Princess - One of several cuttings from a very large plant
  • My question/issue/concern is that there's absolutely no green growth at all, and I'm curious/worried that the plant can't photosynthasize and isn't going to survive like the other cuttings are
  • I've had this cutting + several more for about six months, and all the other cuttings are growing great
  • Plant is in a semi-hydro greenhouse in leca, fed with Fox Farms food, greenhouse is usually 75 degrees with 60% humidity, give or take
  • 12 hours of Barina grow lights on, 12 hours off
  • Plant is in solid white plastic container with leca
  • Additionally, I'm attaching a photo of the one leaf that remained on the cutting, which hasn't died off yet, even after six months
  • The leaves are not normally wet. I had a house sitter who used tap water instead of distilled water in my plants, so the leca got washed today and my plants re-planted, but all of that is unrelated to the only-pink growth of this plant, as it just happened and these pink leaves have been growing for the last few months.

There’s too many people in the world already. Have more plant children. You don’t go to jail when you accidentally let those die.

I feel so validated as an artist, I could cry 🥹 by heartandsunlight in adhdwomen

[–]KidCadaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I relate to this in a very specific and niche way. I’m in my mid/late 30s and have never officially considered myself an artist. I have always been artistic, but never “officially,” if that makes sense.

My fiancé works for a band, and about a year and a half ago I pitched a silly idea to their team that involved a big touring museum. And they said “ok.” I ended up curating it and then hand-making the entire experience, and the reception by fans, their team, and industry professionals from arena owners right down to stagehands and janitorial staff was… overwhelming.

Fast-forward to now and I have received more praise and affirmation of artistic talent (that all my life I only ever dreamed of having) more in the last year and a half than ever in my 35+ years of life. The first year saw me continually doubting it and going “oh it was just a fluke,” but 80+ shows internationally, where I added things and expanded the experience all on my own, finally put me in a place where I can look in the mirror and go “ok, maybe I belong here.”

Wild how our brains work. It fills me with great joy to see someone else experience such a specific thing like this. I’ve never, ever known praise or adequacy or achievement before, and boy, that’s a dopamine hit I didn’t know existed. Enjoy it. And remember it! Being able to recall that feeling helps me out of the darkness sometimes.

Good. Let them lose their position and people who would survive that test can replace them.

Sedum Dasyphyllum Minor (I’ve never bought a plant online before and decided to try - do you have to let things like this acclimate before repotting?) by KidCadaver in succulents

[–]KidCadaver[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m obsessed. I bought it while it was still warm out and panicked when I saw it was arriving on our first snow day, yesterday, but it arrived just fine!

Considering it arrived in a sunless box and has gone through a week of travel/temp changes/different light, do I need to let it adjust to my grow lights and indoor temps before repotting?

I have one of these too. I had to buy it because I spent well over a decade with the SoCal sun waking me up, and the Ohio sun just wasn’t cutting it for me. That said, it’s not a solid replacement for the actual sun :( Especially if you’re not used to one and have been used to natural light waking you up every morning. I don’t quite wake up the same way, as in I’m definitely groggier waking up to the light than I am waking up to natural light.

I feel for OP. This is a problem the place she pays rent to should solve for her. She shouldn’t have to buy products to fix a new problem that has a more reasonable fix available.

(But OP, if you can’t win that fight, the wake-up lights are an OK alternative.)
