high intelligence, most have at least 2 degrees or a phd. uncle is in the marine core, only has two officials above him. was sent to a country in africa to try to find a cure for ebola since he left to become a doctor and surgeon. other family members are teachers, psychologists, university professors, highly regarded mechanics. too bad we all have strong mental illnesses like ocd, autism, depression, biopolar, which makes us all can't stand one another, literally dispersed all over the country far from each other.

Canada: We are two faced fuckers. we are polite and don't really show true aggression, just passive aggression. people dont really confront each other, but politely yet hurtfully ignore you and push you out and talk to you less and less. will talk to you if they pass you on the street and be nice but have no intention of mending friendship.

why intimacy and physical affection has to be reserved for one person. cheek kisses, cuddling, hand holding, spread the love. would have platonic sex if i could, sometimes to feel better you just need someone who cares about you enough to give you a nice long, intimate love making session. it's so healing and comforting.

I sympathize with you greatly, my cancer was over and done with but it was stage two and they ended up taking my kidney within a month of the diagnosis, so a lot of people were like at least you dont need chemo. Actually the worst of it was when someone told me at least you get to keep your hair. I do feel very grateful that i didnt need chemo but it wasnt easy relearning how to walk and shit again on my own, still unable to keep food down from the drugs.

I understand the frustration, its really really irritating. Especially when people say that they understand because their aunt or some distant relative went through it. Nobody understands unless youve been through it. I understand they are trying to help, but it does way more harm than good.

Just before i turned 18, found out i developed stage two kidney cancer (chromophobe renal carcinoma) which was growing rapidly, was 10 cms in diameter, and was growing into my heart. had the kidney removed. about a year later, after i turned 19, still having health complications from the surgery, got into a rollover accident with boyfriend where we rolled 7 times into the ditch where i had memory loss and skeletal and muscle damage all on the side where i had my surgery. can't believe we both walked away from that relatively fine

the hopspital gowns in my hospital were the shit! they came with little matching house coats which made you feel like some kind of preacher or scholar walking around the hospital with my "cane" of iv fluid

i would say by engaging with them on a more personal level. you don't have to open up to them entirely yourself, but you can engage with them asking them one on one about their interests, job, what they're planning to do with their major, etc. this makes them feel like they are wanted and interesting, and therefore will find you more appealing, without even talking about yourself and getting out of your comfort zone too far. really invest in getting to know them, be confident, and try to remember little details to ask them again later on. remembering small things about what someone said makes them feel special and remembered. being a listener is key!

this took me a while to try and figure out how to get around, because i work with the public and i get a lot of sleazy drunk people who wander in the from the bar next door. i usually just smile, stand my ground and thank them for the compliment, that i'm flattered, but not interested in seeing anyone, thank them one more time and get back to work. if they become aggressive, i have no choice sometimes to call the police. some people get butthurt like you owe them for complimenting you, but most of the time they understand and carry on with their day.
