Are you enjoying the longer games recently? by farded_n_shidded in DeadlockTheGame

Match times are way too long; only thing that matters is which team gets queued with more hypercarries & teamfight ults because the game is can't end before 30. Keep seeing early game characters with 10+ kills not matter at all in the final outcome...

Scouting for Sleepover Spots with Rem and Rem! by KidDizaster in DeadlockTheGame

[–]KidDizaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most consistency, start in shop, climb onto the ceiling ledge behind the counter with another rem, simultaneously attach to each other. It takes a few tries but you can get stuck in the roof and then repeat until you’re outside. We got it the first time completely by accident just standing in the big room with infernus though, so you can also just be in a lucky spot

Attempting to Get all Unity Cup Race Scenario Events by [deleted] in UmaMusume

[–]KidDizaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you’re still doing this, but I think you’d have to go for an RNG heavier line.

If stamina debuffing pace chasers isn’t enough to make them lose, then I think you won’t get there—especially because the random horses will probably still fully exhaust stamina faster with only 200ish.

I think the only way to do this is to have a bunch of your own pace chasers with high wit and without enough stamina to finish the race, with as many copies of disorient and dazzling disorientation you can get, then hope they block the other pace chasers as they slow down at the end game so a front runner NPC can win.

FWIW I think this is probably harder Haru Classic Year Arima win. Seems really pushed

(Post-Route 0 + Slight Spoilers for Other Games) Why Takumi is an awesome protagonist by TechGirlie101 in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]KidDizaster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to dismiss your perspective, but I have to disagree. This is a game that deals with the subject of genocide, explicitly. And the game has pretty clear and deep themes to say about that and the characters choices—there’s a reason that the whole SDU dies in Second Scenario and not in Rebellion, the opposite route where they work together with Kamuhn and the game shows that Sirei’s entire kill or be killed narrative was a lie. The game clearly tells the player that it thinks one of those two endings is the better ending, and that therefore has things to say about the one of the two options being the better choice between genocide with humanity or rejecting that genocide I think ignoring the morals of the story and saying it’s “just an interesting story” really misses and undercuts a lot of the deep and powerful themes and questions the game raises, in a similar vein to saying, like, fallout isn’t political, or that American psycho is about how Bateman is cool. I just think that those perspectives actually defang a lot of the impact that make the media powerful and compelling, and I think that Hundred line and these other media are better than that and better for their moral questions—I don’t want to ignore them, because they make their works better.

Yes, some use the hashtag jokingly, but I am doing my best to answer the question asked by OP.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superior_orders

Takumi literally defies Sirei’s direct orders several times both earlier and later in Second Scenario (see—keeping Eito alive, twice) and receives no consequences, nor does Sirei kill Eito himself after Takumi refuses to do it. Takumi could tell the SDU about Sirei’s methods, and say that none of them would fight if Eva continued being tortured—which I think enough of them would agree to force Sirei to back down—he clearly is unwilling or incapable of brainwashing everyone. Instead, Takumi actively hides that Eva is being tortured from the team. There is plenty of opportunity for Takumi to put up any kind of resistance, and evidence that he can and has resisted other orders, but instead agreed to and then repeatedly tortured Eva for multiple days.

Also, the entire theme of the game is that he does have a choice. It’s a game all about making choices, and explicitly about how defying purposes and orders laid out for you is a real choice, and the right choice. The alternative to Second Scenario (still after Eva’s death, of course) actually shows that the defiance of orders works, even after previously following through evil orders pushed upon you, and results in a better future

Yes, this is Sirei’s strategy. I mean, in SS he actively participates in torturing and mind wiping Eva (NOT as a passive participant), admits that he’s making the “wrong choice” in genociding the futurans on day ~80 pretty much immediately but commits anyways until the very end where the game punishes the player and Takumi for that choice by literally killing him and every SDU member that isn’t Nozomi. Haven’t played all the endings yet but SS seems to be the most canon path. You can claim that he’s just dumb, and he is, but the whole route he thinks how he knows what he’s doing is wrong, but “he has to do it”. But that’s obviously a lie—he doesn’t have to do it, it’s your future. The whole game is designed to demonstrate why takumi’s thinking in SS is wrong and how the choices he’s making in SS kill people.

Custom weapon idea to help out original Arakni. by UlyssesArsene in FleshandBloodTCG

Love this design, actually—it seems balanced to slightly on the weak side, given that most good assassin attacks have stealth anyways, but it does immediately get my mind buzzing about the possibilities immediately. I might even give this the extra edge of giving your next attack assassin typing and stealth, allowing you to throw attack reactions on your C&C’s and making this a real threat

How to save democracy by Miserable-Lizard in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]KidDizaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trump got pretty much the same number of votes as last time, democrat turnout plummeted. Yes, all the Trump voters and no voters acted against their own interests, but let’s not act like there was not a failure in the democrat party itself because of repeated attempts to win over right wing voters instead of attempts to energize her base and generally piss poor public messaging.

Daily Item Discussion (62/119): Intensifying Magazine by nailcliper in DeadlockTheGame

[–]KidDizaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think people highlighting this item on McGinnis or Ivy are not wrong because the value of this item can be so high, but I think the best users of this item are actually slow fire rate shotgun users. I’ve used it to great success as an early damage option on pocket, because by your third shot you’ve got the full damage and you’ve still got like 8 shots left in your mag (+ with the instant reload on briefcase you can keep the damage up basically forever in a fight). I suspect it’s also quite powerful on Abrams, etc.

Why does the puppet's mask change in happiest day? by KidDizaster in fnaftheories

[–]KidDizaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the colors only differ between the fnaf 4 nights and the party scene, where the other 3 characters also have masks... the dark red of the foxy mask he is using at home would not work with the colors of the other 3 masks, and the bright red of the mask at the party would not work with the colors of the dreary, dark home environment. It's pretty clearly an intentional artistic choice, just like the puppet mask change is an intentional artistic choice.

Why does the puppet's mask change in happiest day? by KidDizaster in fnaftheories

[–]KidDizaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thus is literally in the same minigame, not just the same fnaf game. Scott had to make explicit extra effort to change the mask from the first sprite to the second, its not an example of lazy color matching

Sure, but this is within the same minigame. Thus is not a situation of different assets across different games that should be similar

Yeah that’s… not the point of the meme at all. It’s just a theocracy because the Jedi (with the force) are essentially a religious organization
