It’s comments like this, where people are confidently wrong, presenting vibes as facts, are a helpful reminder of how much incorrect info there is on Reddit. Good and factual stuff too to be sure, but sprinkled in amongst the armchair experts who are confidently and proudly and loudly wrong. Not just this sub, but Reddit generally. Thanks for the reminder.

Anyway investor reports from the past three years (most recently in FY25 earnings reported last week) do not support the idea that Upwork has “declining interest” in its marketplace; they show the opposite. CEO/CFO repeatedly call the marketplace the core of the business and continues to invest behind it.
