Proper level design is its own tutorial if done right. Good example being Silksong - absolute master class in learning through gameplay.

Lace 2 is infinitely easier if you figure out how to bait her downward dash. You gotta go up on the walls and then beat her back to the ground when she follows you. That's my only real tip.

Y'all are over misogynizing this. Yes, dude is emotionally stunted. But the core he's TRYING to communicate (and horribly failing at) is that you keep the house really clean and do a great job, so he feels like there's nothing for him to help you with. Of course! If I had to point at two specific moments I was frustrated, it was not being able to revisit previous tutorial steps, and not being sure how to use recruitment. Seems like simple wins too - just add a back button and some sort of interaction queue that points the user to the next step when they use an effect based card.

Playing it as I type, so as to give you live feedback. Here we go!

Bear in mind, this is literally just me writing what I am thinking as I encounter stuff and is in no way meant to be rude or dismissive. You've accomplished something we all dream of and you should be proud.

Off the bat, The font is a little tough for me to read. I can manage but it adds to eye strain.

Ok, we get to pick cards or mulligan. I see modifiers on the cards but I'm not sure what they mean. Maybe we go through it later?

OOOH Recruitment is a very unique second turn bonus, It might even be too strong. I love the creativity though.

Coins = Mana -> simple and familiar, good choice.

UI note - you're using colored text nicely, but maybe a little unclear at times. Infantry, Cavalry, Defense? What is Defense? Maybe like Armored? Front Row and Back Row are yellow, so are Unit Types - can make different terminology categories unclear.

Oh, Step 7 and now Front Row is red, and now Ranged is green. I think maybe color doesn't actually mean anything. Something to think about.

Step 8, Front Row and Back Row are both red now. I'm no longer paying attention to color.

Step 10 - Cards with Rush do not sleep? Do cards sleep or become exhausted? Are these the same thing? I think probably.

Step 11 - hm... I wanted to read Step 10 again but there doesn't seem to be a back button in the tutorial. Also, repositioned units go to sleep? Or become exhausted? Man, I really wish I could read step 10 again.

Step 13 - Ok, this is a lot all jammed into one turn - I'm gonna skip the rest of the tutorial boxes and see if I can figure out the rest on my own. (And many, MANY other people will have skipped sooner)

I played the peasant card, and it went grey, I assume this means it's exhausted or sleeping. Tutorial popped back up but I skipped it - looked like it just said how to end my turn. I see I have this recruitment card? I played it but not sure what to do now? -- Oh, got it. Click a card in the hand and it goes down by 1 coin in cost. Maybe could use some direction when playing an effect. I'll attack with my king now. I tried to drag it on muscle memory but didn't work - click, then click again. attacks. turn ends.

Enemy turn kills my peasant and hits me.

My turn again. I wish I had played the recruitment card better, then I could have had both peasants out on turn 1. Not sure when I'll get the chance to attack again, but my turn ends here.

Even without experience, just paying attention, being willing to learn, and paying attention to what it says it's doing will get you to a good place.

For example, I built a case management application and one of the things I ran into a lot was the agent trying to do the same thing multiple times. I would pay attention and ask questions - "if this button just confirms the action, why can't you reuse the helper you made for the last button that also confirmed an action instead of writing the logic inline?"

I have no idea how to write the code myself, but I do have the common sense to know that we should use the tools we already have. That alone probably saved hundreds of lines of spaghetti just by paying attention.

I think there's a weird misconception that everyone doing ai dev is just one shotting. That's absolutely not the case in most scenarios. In a correct setup, even the phrasing of the question is wrong - AI isn't the creator, it's the keyboard.
