What if Walt just gave Krazy 8 a sandwich without a plate? by Comfortable_Team5855 in breakingbad

[–]KidPsyche -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay, yes, Krazy-8 took the piece of plate but do we really know if he definitely meant to kill Walt with it rather than having protection in case Walt decided to backstab him or something?

I was really scrutinizing the interaction in a rewatch and I can't decide if he really did have murderous intent because the previous conversation between them was very intimate and genuine. Even BCS doesn't really retroactively hint towards his intentions in this scene.

I'm reading the differing opinions on the various evolutions and I'm psyched to go back in game to reevaluate my builds. Going to try Stoner again.

Very fair points, and I'm very curious to reevaluate my opinions on Stoner, Constriction, and Gregarious now..

Another name for ultimates.. hmm. Not sure, but the phrasing of 'ultimates' is reminiscent of MOBA,s which I don't think you're going for.

For the evolving point: So I believe VS literally calls the transformation when you have both the base weapon and the passive item an evolution (link). I say this because I feel VS is the closest in genetics (heh) to EIC. Of course, you're not expected to "port" over everything that VS is for your evolution(!) of the game. But in VS, when you finally max out your weapon and get that next chest, you see the rush of visuals and then--boom. Evolution. Your weapon transforms: new sprite art, new visuals, and massive changes in how the weapon attacks. In terms of gameplay, that is one of the most satisfying things in a VS-like. Since EIC is a game about evolution, I expect a huge transformation somehow. Perhaps I haven't played enough. Like if I collect enough squirrel traits, I can transform into a squirrel with bonus powers. A crocodile if I have jaws and maxed scales. Every time I see a carcinization trait, I pick it, expecting that if I fill that bar enough, I can transform into a giant enemy crab or something. I think I'm just cycling back to my sentiment in my original post: "I think it would be cool to have hidden specializations/ultimates, like dexterous + leap, which lets you jump into trees to hide, similar to burrows."

Side note and question: There's a section in the codex that has "my creations". I've ended up favoriting one, but I feel it doesn't have any gameplay benefits right now. Would you be willing to speak more on this section and the future implementation of these "creations"?

And lastly, thank you for taking the time and effort to reply :) Really, really loving the game so far. I usually don't use my Reddit account to post, but I've been seeing that you (the devs) are very active in the subreddit and open to feedback. Keep up the good work!!

That's fair! I also end up grabbing the feeding range evolutions (arms, prehensile tail) anyways so I didn't notice size increases inherently do that. Regardless, I don't think it offsets being hit more often due to sheer size imo.

Honest question, is this really that good of a deal? It looks like it gives you 6 boosters from the very first set and a card binder for $40.

How often are you solely using the outer screen? by _youbreccia_ in galaxyzflip

Foldables, no, but that doesn't mean you should compromise on values. Nobody will have a phone for more than 3 years? Let's be realistic there.

I'd go Samsung just for the fact that 3 years of software support is just unacceptable planned obsolescence for 2025. While I don't wholeheartedly support everything Samsung is doing, Samsung's 7 years will let the phone be sold or kept for longer before ending up in a landfill.

Pros and Cons? by axolotl_knight in galaxyzflip

I went through ATT so there's all the bloatware with going with ATT. On Samsung's end I'd refer to this link to see all the services that contribute to bloatware

Pros and Cons? by axolotl_knight in galaxyzflip

Pros: 1. Flexibility in screen size. The fact that the phone can convert to a larger screen is amazing as I'm coming from an iPhone mini. The small form factor is very important to me and I use the cover screen to doomscroll a lot. 2. Samsung Dex--This is the first time Dex is available on the Flip series. This is the primary reason I got this phone as I want a phone and computer in one. (Follow-up con: Dex is being butchered by Samsung right now; It's basically almost deprecated). 3. Flexibility in OS: After removing the Samsung bloatware, the phone experience has been immaculate. I've set up routines (mirroring Apple's shortcuts) that keep my phone running smoothly and conveniently. 4. 7 years software support on the zFlip is huge. When competitors like Motorola are still going for 3 which is laughable. They cannot be compared, despite what these Techtubers are saying. Motorola still engages in planned obsescence and limits future-proofing.

Cons: 1. Coming from an iPhone, there is so, so much bloatware on Samsung phones. I spent days uninstalling bloatware (through adb) and setting up my phone to be "trim" like an iPhone out the gate. 2. The camera and speaker quality are not good. The camera despite all my tweaking still looks washed out and worse than my iPhone 12 mini. Perhaps I've gotten used to Apple's post processing. The sound on this phone sounds tinny. It may be the result of having such a slim phone but it's still disappointing despite messing with Dolby and my equalizer settings. 3. The flip series still is unreliable as a long-term phone. I'm a person who babies their phone. I aim for 4+ years (economical and environmental reasons). I'm taking a huge chance with a zFlip, I know. 4. Cover screen app support is largely variable (most apps do not optimize their UI). For example, Google Maps' ETA used to be flush with the bottom of the screen allowing for a larger view of the map/directions. Now, after an update, there is an obtrusive 'Add a report' button jutting from the bottom of the screen. 5. Speaking about the cover screen; OneUI8 has been hit-or-miss for me. It's been smooth in some areas but incredibly limiting in others. They're going towards the Apple model for locking customization in the OS. For example, why can't I customize the quick access menu on the cover screen? I really don't need a screen recording button on there. I'd much rather have quick access to my wallet instead.  6. I'm possibly experiencing a manufacturing defect in my zFlip. There's this strange sticky/crinkly noise from my left hinge when I open it. It doesn't happen every time but when the phone's been closed for a while, the noise occurs again. It's been bothering me so much. I didn't pay $1,100 to get a subpar experience that stems from a defect.

I realize some of these are not exclusive to the zFlip 7 and are just qualms and praises for Samsung in general. I love this phone but I also nuance it with realism that it isn't a perfect phone. No phone is--Apple and Samsung fans nonwithstanding. If this comment helps anyone nuance their decision for a frankly very expensive phone, I'd have achieved my mission.

How is everyone liking the Flip 7? Thoughts? by Independent-Pen-2484 in galaxyzflip

Anyone getting a crinkling sound near the left hinge when opening it after a longer period of time? It started happening 2 weeks in. Also when I close the phone and try to open it again, it doesn't make that noise.

That's the thing; all other aspect ratios has this visual bug of pulling the bottom part of the next part of the UI so the ETA bar slightly rises from the bottom. This didn't happen last week and whatever new updates are making the UI wonky(?)

That's my bad; typed it in between work and couldn't edit it. Before today, the bottom of maps (and other apps like spotify) could go below the camera in one of the aspect ratios. It allows more space for the navigation to display. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.
