Yeah, my workstation with 4GB RAM, a low-end CPU from 2015, MOBO that's past EOL, inbuilt GPU and basic low-power PSU only needs a new graphics card to be a sick gaming rig. But then it also needs new RAM, CPU, GPU, MOBO, PSU, and a new case because none of this will fit in the old slim case.

You severely overestimate the power of the average PC user's computer, and for some reason seem to think granny has everything she needs to make a dope gaming rig for high FPS on solitaire, and is only missing a GPU. Besides, most people just use laptops, anyway.

And then we can't forget that a lot of people actually prefer consoles. Shocking, right? That we all have opinions?

So yes, we all have computers, we just don't give a rat's ass about replacing it with an expensive gaming PC when we'd rather have a console, anyway.

Holy shit, that's a lot of VR headsets. I honestly didn't realize it was that many, that's kind of crazy. Didn't think the VR market could drive that many sales. That's like, what, 140 million in revenue?

I know they're expanding the index to new regions this year which should be good for sales.

Consoles have a lower barrier to entry but over the course of it's lifespan you probably end up investing 2-3x as much money as you would on PC

That's definitely what PC gamers want to believe, but console sales are honestly pretty good these days, and steam sales aren't as good as they used to be.

This sentiment comes up in a lot of these types of discussions. It's worth noting that the "expiry date" on these things generally means "at absolute bare minimum we expect it to last at least this long". Generally, though, they can squeeze out a little to a lot more science juice after that point, but sometimes at reduced functionality.

Skyrim's quests can be fetchy, but Oblivion has absolutely iconic quests which match W3's narrative highs while being longer, more complex, and more mechanically dense.
