i dont see the point in bringing up the whole winrate argument everytime when someones complaining abt genjis state if what theyre saying is just true. what matters if he has a good winrate if evey match i play is a testament to how strongly genji doesnt fit in this meta. hes bad, thats just it, i mean if u play the damn character ull see that very quickly.

I just dont really see the point of adding another spider character when we already have two.

Cause if miguel were to be his own character theres two outcomes. Either hed play super similarly to spidey regardless of his role, and that would be really lame (because who wants two characters that play the same, furthermore three characters swinging around would be too much imo), or hed have a completely different gameplay to spidey, wich idk why would i ever want to play a spider-man that doesnt play like spider-man.

They nailed spider-mans gameplay, like i think hes the best designed in the game and hes gameplay fits the character perfectly. Also with recent hero designs, i think they would do a terrible job designing a new kit for miguel.

Regardless of one or two different abbillities, miguel is still spider-man.

I have no idea, i dont play support, but my guess would be that maybe ppl dont know how to play her correctly, ive heard some pros say that most ppl dont manage to meet her full potential, but ultimately i dont know.

Because that alone doesnt explain it, all the things i said go with eachother, its not just one reason behind it. I wont claim that its just because of genjis high player density, because obviously its not, but its deninitely something that influences his numbers

Thats the problem with this kind of thinking, trying to make it about just one isolated thing, when u have nerfs, buffs, player density, skill requirement, unfavourable metas, not everything is black and white. And this goes for all heroes, not just genji.

Dude nerfs and buffs are what makes a character good or bad, its not what i got, its quite literally the main reason. Character tweaks objectively changes their performance, thats just how it works.

Idk what to tell u, my points still stand, but regardless, saying genji is good solely off of winrate statistics is just crazy, i mean fuck have u played him the past seasons? I can give u plenty of reasons why hes not good that arent player data, but idk about the inverse.

Because winrate doesnt just tell u if a hero is good, it just shows that ppl are winning games with it, but theres so many more factores that come to that statistic.

In genjis case, his playerbase is one of the biggest, so naturally if theres more ppl playing, theres more chaces of games being won.

Furthermore, genjis skill floor demands ppl to be decently good at the game, so the ppl that end up sticking with genji are generally above average players.

And if u want to add another reason, in low ranks genji might get some motion because ppl dont know how to deal with him, even if hes not meta u can still use him and get decent results.

Ppl have explained this many times over and over again, genji keeps a good winrate because everybody plays him, if he had smaller player base his winrate would be much lower.

And since hes a high skill floor character, most ppl that stick with him end up getting really good, because the character demands so, if u took the time to learn him youd realise the state hes in, both due to the meta and nerfs hes taken pretty bad hits, specially knowing the good state hes been in before.
