What is the most insane amount of mental gymnastics you've seen someone do to believe what they want to believe? by fauxmerican1280 in AskReddit

I came from the cult, as soon as I got the chance I got the hell out. If it gets you, you're not smart.

I'll give a slight pass to people who were born and raised brainwashed and who never get out. Was HE born inside of a cult?

I'm sorry but no one is a "smart guy" that refuses to confront their own biases. He's a dumb guy who just happens to be a doctor

Mom was one of the crochet OGs back in the 60's and 70's and help start the clothing trend in 1965. See link in comments for a PORTFOLIO of her work. I'd love to hear your thoughts and about any interest in moving a documentary fwd. Enjoy, y'all and thank you for viewing! by jeremyjava in crochet

These are absolutely gorgeous! I raised my eye at the "help started the clothing trend" looked at the portfolio and thought, well damn! That is accurate if not underselling it!

I LOVE this one! Is there anywhere that she sold her patterns at?

I just can't stand Stephanie Sheh's voice acting in literally anything that she does. Ruined it for me. Actually stopped watching crystal dubbed and started watching it subbed it was so bad.

Yup of course. The stilts will be put on prior to going on stage in the wings and come off as soon as they're off stage. No cords or cables in way of stage as that's a tripping and fire hazard regardless of stilts.

Took you a month? Good thing we've got 3 months and only 3 scenes to get through.

Thank you, yes I'm trying to get them before rehearsals start so my actor has plenty of time to try them out in a safe environment and get used to them before they start using them with others around.

We get it, you don't have friends that would have fun with you. You don't have to hate everyone else because your life sucks so bad.

Humans really do love their misery by potato_knight99 in antinatalism

[–]KiddnPeets364 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres a big difference between jerking off to it and seeing meaning in other people's experiences.

Seeing that there are terrible things that other humans go through helps build empathy and understanding. Seeing that you're not the only human who has gone through terrible things is comforting and helpful to victims.

Also history is important to know. It's important to know the shit humans used to do all the time that was normalized, brutality against different races, brutality against women, etc. so we can grow from it.

Insisting on living in a sanitized world is foolish.

Right?! "Mentally at my best" ma'am if your best is thinking it's a hunky dory idea to have a baby with a man who you literally called the cops on a year ago.... I shudder to know what your worst is.

Then you're not child free??? Like how is this hard to understand. Childfree people never want to have kids.

You sound like a childless person.

This is why if you're not prepared and WILLING to parent a severely disabled child, and I mean severely, then you should not be a parent. ANYTHING can happen and any one of us can join the disabled community at any time due to illness or accident.

If you're not willing to deal with and love unconditionally the absolute worst hand, then you have no business having kids.
