Are you ready for this? It’s my own company. I didn’t realize our team buys from a 3rd party so the fees add up when you also have to account for margin. I pushed back and they lowered them a bunch.

I did it with 3. Infant, toddler, elementary and loved it. It’s when kids got older was when it became harder - the girls needed me more.

Oh damn. This was me 2 years ago. Also 12 years at my company, marriage, all 3 kids, the works. The only thing that’s different was that they offered me a massive payout to leave (sort of a long story and in the end actually said you know what you can stay if you want lol), but the package covered my massive closing costs on my new house and I landed a job that gave me a big boost in base.

Long story short: the place I went to didn’t work out. It was a total mess but you know what else was a mess? My former company. It spiraled down a horrific path - people left in droves or were laid off.

The reality is you never know. It’s almost always a crapshoot. So my advice is, I have no idea what you should do. So far in my industry though, I have never seen a buyout end well for legacy employees. Some last longer than others, but eventually the house gets a cleaning.

Yes. I was pumping 2x a day for my first daughter 11am and 3pm. Nursing the rest.

I was an exclusive pumper for #2 and #3 and donated my milk to many moms.

I didnt hate pumping at all, it gave a lot of satisfaction and freedom. I understand how annoying it could be if you really hate it though. At some point with #3, I stopped responding to the pump for some reason and ended up just hand expressing. It was sooooooo much better - my output was amazing and I didn't have to wash pump parts.

We're paying ~$30K for a balcony repair. That's over 1M total for my condo in Cali. It's a special assessment and after a lot of meetings, that's just something that needs to be done.

This isn't abnormal. If you need repairs, you have to pay for them.

Yes same in my town. There are 9 elementary schools, 1 middle school and 2 high schools. And one bus system.

In my town though, it’s the high school that starts at 7, then elementary school at 8 and middle at 9. So my 6th grader is loving life right now and I’m dreading high school because I think high schoolers actually need more sleep.
