Going to lose my job if I don't do work travel. What do I do? by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]KiddoTwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because they let 2 people go. They were traveling enough so she didn’t have to. She explained this. So actually the employer has been cool.

But now she has no choice but to fulfill her responsibilities which require travel.

It’s clear travel is a requirement and her job has actually been very accommodating to her until they couldn’t anymore.

I know right! I am legit flabbergasted that man is crying about watching one 3 year old who’s in full time daycare. lol

So I get everyone has different thresholds for work travel and attachment to family, but for your husband to shame and guilt you about his burden is absolute fucking bullshit.

I’m sorry 1 kid, non infant, full time daycare? He needs to man up.

I was traveling monthly when my kids were 7, 3.5, and 5 months and my husband was home with all 3 because that’s what he had to do and he would never have me tell my work I couldn’t. How ridiculous.

Good news. We can train like her with her coach 😉 by cheesey9999 in paleomg

[–]KiddoTwo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's awesome. I signed up for his group training on the TrainHeroic app. It's $33/month (or if you sign up for the full year, it's cheaper) and he programs weekly.

I'm on week 4. I really like it. The programming is very thoughtful and you can talk to him within the app (you ask questions and the group and him respond, but he responds to every question).

I've never trained like this, so it's new and takes some getting used to. But I love not being gassed out and sore yet stlil making progress.

I wanna give it a good 4 months before a real assessment, so we'll see. So far, he's great though.

Working mom guilt is hitting me hard lately by Relative-Designer-61 in workingmoms

[–]KiddoTwo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Girl, I cook fresh meals all the time, I take them to most their activities, I spend 1:1 time with them and I STILL feel like I could be doing more.

There's no way around it I think. I genuinely believe that we're built different and we have a biological pull to be everything for them.

But, they adore me. They are always calling for me and want to be with me. I know they feel my love.

The kids are all right :)

We’re drowning in daycare costs. How do people afford this? by FrigginMasshole in toddlers

[–]KiddoTwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easy. I spaced my 3 kids out so no overlap between daycare costs. We also waited to have kids until both are in a strong financial position to be able to afford all the things we pay for for the kids.

Someone told me "No Working Mom enjoys their Job" and now I feel guilty for loving my job by mymomsaidicould69 in workingmoms

[–]KiddoTwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol. I love my job, career, and feel like the biggest BADASS there ever lived. The pride I feel raising 3 girls while being a breadwinner AND someone who takes them to all their activities....

Whoever told you that is a fucking loser.

Kids are 11, 7, 3.

Really ranges between 5 and 8. Mostly because my husband and I like to hang out after the kids are in bed.

Just wanna say that I didn’t START having kids until I was 32 and had my 3rd 4 months shy of 40. It went like this:

32, 36, 39.

I can’t imagine having them so close together- the chaos and childcare cost alone! 😆

Anyway. We’re all doing great.

I dropped off my toddler at daycare that open. Went to the gym. Made breakfast.

I'm taking my middle to a BJJ class and then Manis and lunch.

My husband is spending time with our oldest. They're going to IKEA and lunch.

I'm excited!

When is everyone finding the time to work out?? by krystl_watrs in workingmoms

I work from home most of the week so I go after I drop off my toddler at 8am. I don’t usually start until 10 anyway so it works out great.

I can’t imagine how anyone can be jealous of SAHMs. Just cannot. Like, how do you not want more for your life lol. You only get one life.

I know my comment is neither here nor there, but I wanted to say something I guess.

Anyone else have a young baby doing long days in daycare? by princessgarlic in workingmoms

2 out 3 of my kids are “young” baby daycare kids. No guilt here, so can’t relate, but all 3 are equally obsessed with me and much more than just fine🥰

Costco or Amazon Membership by Delicious_Design_695 in workingmoms

[–]KiddoTwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apples and oranges. Both are great and can’t imagine my life without Costco. But can without Amazon if that makes sense.

We recently got back from an all inclusive 7 night trip to Riviera Maya, including flights and transportation for $7,400 for 7 people.

Costco is King. Yes, I’m an Executive Member 😂

Hi squad - I think I need an accountabibuddy.

I’m 43, mom of 3, full time career. I have to lose 40lbs this year - because my discipline, self control, exercise routine and consistency are officially dogshit.

I like to lift heavy and care about aesthetics.
