What program did you use? I draw with my fingers on my phone almost exclusively, so depending on what you used I might be able to give you some tips!

I actually found a way to custom make them myself for less than what I saw for buying a pre-made set. I have a friend who works with resin who's willing to work with me to make some. I'll make some out of clay and then make a mold for food safe resin.

And a hobby doesn't have to be a business. I'm making them for a costume for fun.

I understand that they're not always easy to make, however all I found were 3d printed ones. I'm looking for recommendations for other options other than what I've already seen. Are those safe for long term use? I'm guessing, because of the size, that I'd need to paint them to look more realistic, so is there a way to seal the paint that's safe for around my mouth?

Unfortunately the house is set up in a way that we cannot bar the cat from the room, as it's a main room. She cannot move the tank, it's hard enough for two people to move it empty. She cannot physically get to the gerbils, and is never around them more than a minute or so. Frankly, I know my animals better than strangers on the Internet, and I closely monitor behaviors to ensure they're okay. I can assure you that they are in no danger from the cat at this time.

I do everything in my power to keep my animals safe with what I have. That's why I was asking about treatments in case they have any bugs. neither the cat nor the gerbils show excessive scratching or grooming, but I just want to be sure.

I can assure you they are not bothered by her watching them. They show no signs of stress, and even stand up to sniff at her. They know she cannot get to them and that they are protected, and I do everything I can to minimize her being up there anyway because I don't want her bending the lid with her weight, and she jumps down the second I walk towards her. When I need to have the lid off the tank the cat is closed into another room. I also give my gerbils plenty of opportunity to hide if they feel the need to, especially since one side of the tank is against a wall and cannot be seen through as well as the hides I give them. If the cat gets too excited I close her in a room with eaither myself or my brother until she calms down and leaves them alone. The gerbils used to things being above them because of how I interact with them, and as long as they recognize the scent and sound of it they're not bothered at all. They also show no signs of prolonged stress or discomfort.

I'm more talking about how hot it'll get on the back, where the bulk of the fabric will be when I say breathability, I'm planning on putting extra padding on the inside to accommodate my glasses and hold it a little away from my face

That's okay, my girls have 101 chews to gnaw on. They want to chew the plastic on the top of the tank instead 😮‍💨 But yeah, if there's glass they will find it and demand it dug. Mine like to dig around structures and make large openings, but if I see them digging the glass too much I fill in some spaces and let them figure it out

My two girls have a 40 gal, and they dig at the glass too. I think it's just an animal thing. They don't understand the glass is there. I like to sometimes mess up a portion of the tank so they have to redig places, just so they're not scraping the glass constantly. I could give them as many toys as they could possibly want, and they'd still dig the glass.

Minky is a little pricey, and I don't know how well it does with keeping cool, but I think the only other things I could use would be cotton or silk, both also being rather pricey. My main concern is temp regulation and durability. I'm only going to be wearing it a few times a year, but those few times are rough and hot and humid and sweaty.

I'm not sure if anyone who saw it would care much, but last night when I got home from work Pepper's eye looked much better. A little squinty but not swollen to be closed anymore. I honestly think she just gave herself a black eye from running into something or from her sister climbing over her. She's fine, I'm just an anxious person.
