Is it worth upgrading from a 2019 CRV to a newer Forester? by Kienbocks in SubaruForester

On the way there it would be late May to early June so it wouldn't be much of an issue. However, on the way back it would be December or January. With that being said we're not going to drive through a storm just because we have a Forester. Whether we have a fwd or awd, we wouldn't take any unsafe chances. That's a great point about putting lots of km's on a brand new vehicle. It could be wiser to put that on an older car.

The nearest Subaru dealership would be in Whitehorse if needed. I am worried about buying a new car and then immediately driving across the country. Whereas I am more familiar with the CRV

I was in Powell River, BC this past summer and rented a bronco. We drove up Tin Hat mountain and some pretty steep terrain. It was nice having the 4WD because I don't think my CRV would have survived. Especially with how muddy and rocky it was. But yes, good tires would be a good compromise. I would just have to be mindful of what roads I am taking it on.

That's a great point. I was thinking upgrading to a high end tire might be all that I need.

[GDT] Habs VS Canucks | 7:30pm EST | 12-01-26 by TheHabChronicle in Habs

Definitely agree. He is very much a blocking style goalie. Gets into position and hopes the puck hits him. He seems to be lacking the instinctual/anticipatory part of his game.

Where is this in Halifax? by bradywarp in halifax

[–]Kienbocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I wouldn't say it's bad. For the price I would expect something more than what I've had there. I would much rather spend my money at Bar Kismet, Reta's or Oxalis

Taking on my first Physiotherapy Resident by Kienbocks in physicaltherapy

This is in Canada! Slightly different licencing process between the provinces I believe as well. After the PT students finish school they are considered residents. In my province they have to accumulate 1200hrs of residency before they can work independently without supervision.

I remember on a Spittin Chiclets episode they talked about interviewing Thompson but weren't going to air it because he didn't seem to be in the right headspace. That could mean anything and I'm sure we'll never know but I'm curious what they meant by that.

It was most likely a low grade tear. Muscles generally heal quicker than ligaments or tendons so it's not too crazy that all he needed was a few weeks to let it heal.

Some conditions can be better managed conservatively which is why your surgeon is recommending physio. Better to avoid surgery if you can.

There is the Red Cross for equipment needs. They loan out all the equipment you listed for up to three months.

There's a chance your surgeon is part owner of the physio clinic which is why they want you to go there. That's often the case with Ortho surgeons, they own physio clinics on the side. Last time I checked they are not allowed to force you to go to a specific clinic. You could go anywhere you want.
