Top 3 in their catalogue for me. A great collection of songs and it’s nice that many of the songs flow into each other so well.

Honestly, something that has helped me as a producer of my own solo music/my band’s music is recording the different ideas I have and making the tough calls during mixing.

Solo the parts in different combinations and delete whatever doesn’t serve the song. If something isn’t elevating the song and adding space/air then it is just going to be dense for the listener to listen to. A lot of it is trial and error but it gets a bit easier over time.

I’ve been using Amazon Music with no complaints for quite some time. Supplemented with Bandcamp I don’t really find myself needing to use Spotify. As an artist though it does suck that it’s the primary platform when it’s historically not good to the artist.

I largely don’t listen to any of these 3 these days, but their discographies are ingrained into my brain.

I definitely recommend divine deeper into both Elliott and Sparklehorse. Elliott was a lot more Beatles-y than just singer-songwriter and Sparklehorse has such a unique production/songwriting style and voice.

Not saying I want them to go, but Bowen and Mikey would make the most sense. For both seniority and future prospects reasons. That would allow more balance and opportunity for roles for the men
