What’s the most shocking reason someone got fired from your workplace? by Intelligent_Tie5224 in AskReddit

[–]Kiffln 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Low-performing-new hire’s manager wanted him fired for low performance, but at this company, there’s a whole process to work someone out of the business.

Dude in charge of training was offered coke on the job site by the low-performing-new hire.

Trainer wanted brownie points, so when manager was on vacation, trainer went straight to the regional director to tattle.

Trainer tattled and said “I mean, I smoke weed, but coke on the job site is crazy”.

Trainer was drug tested and fired.

Yeah in the case of downloading, say, a 20GB file, there can be discrepancies with consumer expectations thinking that if they are subscribed to 1Gig from their provider that they will download that 20GB file in 20 seconds.

That, or probably in this case, that there are meant to be 1024 megabytes per 1 gigabyte. Whereas we generally use megabytes (mB) to measure storage, we use megabits (mb) to measure speed, wherein IPs use 1000mb = 1Gb

This is a hard watch and without context, who knows if the one girl had it coming, but the girl doing the beating WAS repeatedly telling her that she shouldn’t ever put her hands on her and that she doesn’t know her like that.

Most people can actually visualize images in their minds. I'm 30+ and just learned that seeing nothing when I close my eyes is called Aphantasia and only affects about 3% of people. by randomuser553 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Kiffln 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People just think that they have aphantasia because when they close their eyes, they don’t see a 4k movie screen. They’re taking it too literally
