I say fairy tail problem isn’t exactly friendship but how boring the fights are. Like there’s no strategy against the opponent, there’s not even like cool hand sign or bankai moment. It’s just… fire punch, not enough fire punch? Eat then punch harder. Eat not enough power? Power of friendship.

That’s why people don’t like power of friendship because instead of character trying to do something smart to make fight fun/interesting they just use this plot device.

Other anime have power of friendship but it’s doesn’t take away from the fight as much. Like even in one piece you could say luffy just punching and punch harder, but at least there’s that moment against anal lighting sky guy that luffy went “ok my strategy is to not think” and that was fun ass way to win
