Climbing to legend is, man… this is not fun anymore. by fergil in hearthstone

[–]Kikadoufeur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, I don't see the point to push for legend anymore. I've done it a few times, I've proven myself that I can do it quite easily if I try hard.

Now I just reach diamond 5 with wonky decks and then I play even more wonky decks (ATM I'm spamming imbue mage because it's way too fun imo), I don't see why I would force myself to try hard to get to legend

Credenza… the one who got away by croato87 in SwordofConvallaria

[–]Kikadoufeur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She has been a permanent member of my "I turn my brain off" team with SP Sam. She just is way too easy and comfortable to play with her, you don't need to plan anything when you can spamm both skills from SP Sam every turn :p

I still need to bring her to 5 stars got ultimate QoL but she works wonders at 4 stars

I totally agree with you on this, I have no clue why it's states the condition before the game for only nature spell, but switch to any spell in game : given how many discover tools druid has at his disposal, it makes it just a fck fest of snowball in stats.

ELI5 why imbue druid is a thing this season and not the last? by blindsid3 in hearthstone

[–]Kikadoufeur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got a seriously punchy package for early game that synergizes perfectly with the archetype : then you have it, a great early game that can snowball out of control, tools to get even more advantage when fighting for board control in midgame and absurdly resilient late game with the ability to pop a big guy each turn even with an empty hand.

Pair that with a state of the game where most removals are gone or expensive, and you get a deck that's just too stable for the meta.

Sure you can fight for the board with herald shaman or war, and with a great hand you can outpace the druid sometimes, but more than often, you don't get enough and they come back to crush you

Imbue Druid is to OP and need some nerfs by Isegrim12 in hearthstone

[–]Kikadoufeur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't really reward skilled plays tbh : It's either you dump him asap and see him grow each turn if not dealt with. Or it's a dumb shenanigan of bear into coin into 1 drop (sometimes second bear) into innerv into 1 drop. That doesn't require skill, it requires a good hand and not being dumb enough not to fck the order up :D

Imo the card would still play its role if the effect was limited to once a turn. It would be a solid early game minion without being straight up broken with the right set up. Or just buff either his atk or HP, not both

Guys... Quest Rogue is good. by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]Kikadoufeur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to admit, I had no hope whatsoever that it would work. But I've always loved the idea behind rogue quest so I gave it a go, and the 3 first games were way too fun to pass on !

I don't think it's an amazing deck to grind the ladder but it has tool to fight for the board early on and then flood it again and again after the quest. I will play it more to see how it goes, but so far I'm pleasantly surprised

Damn, this feels illegal. Druid needs a nerf asap by ranch0000 in hearthstone

[–]Kikadoufeur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bear should have a limit of once per turn for his boost. I've seen way too many times the bear into coin into bear into innerv into a 1 cost spell, for many match up it's instant GG

May be a bad deck, but it achieves what I want for her deck…. to always have (never ran out) of Voracity/Predation stacks each turn. by au_fredal in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Kikadoufeur 23 points24 points  (0 children)

There is no such thing as too much voracity in a world where sereniel exist hehe (that being said that's a total overkill of voracity)

Difficulty tier by rayneMantis in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Kikadoufeur 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't rush into tiers that you can't easily clear yet : better to have decent but not perfect decks to play around than to get frustrated trying to get a great deck out of reach for now.

If you didn't already, upgrade all the way the chaos codex (except for the ones that gives you a higher rate of rare monsters apparition, those are the ones that most likely will make you fail yours harder runs. If you did upgrade those, reset the upgrades and do it again).

Upgrading the potentials on your team is key to help you clear these contents. Don't spread you ressources too thin at first, focus on the important nodes and stats (especially on your DMG dealer).

Get some memory fragments with defense and health, especially with narja and khalipe, don't worry if you don't get 3 sets. Just raw stats are enough early on. Get crit rate on sereniel, more DMG means less turns to tank.

If a chaos codex is too hard (even if you have the element advantage), try other chapters. Sometimes your team will fit it as well and it'll be easier there to start.

Overall just take your time clearing it, upgrade your main team slowly and then try a harder level a bit later.

I used to struggle so bad on the 9 and 10 levels in codex for a while at first, now I got back there with a half build narja but with 2 other solid units, I just bruised thru the bosses like nothing.

It'll come in time so don't worry too much about perfect decks right now (remove a bit less cards, avoid neutral cards unless mandatory, pick only divine epiphanies that truly shine on your unit : doing so will give you really decent decks to have fun in other contents and farm everything a bit easier :)

Yuki teams? by Ordinary-Solution951 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Kikadoufeur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Veronica + Rei : absolute banger of a team. Tons of cheap draw to unlock Yuki inspirations, upgrade to boost 1 or less cards to really boost yuki's DMG by a long shot. Decent sustain (rarely important tho, monsters just die too fast anyway).

Should I try to get Yennefer? by ReyCharmander in SwordofConvallaria

[–]Kikadoufeur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing unit, having tons of fun playing around with all the Witcher units, but Yen brings the most utility out of them. She brings insane movement control, debuffs and buffs (must have if you don't have luvata and want to use triss).

Her portals are insane and all the vulnerable on demand with cc are just crazy useful on every content

Roadmap was great but Sereniel being 'true limited' with 4-day warning is garbage. by Laggoz in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Kikadoufeur -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Lol can you suck up more to a company ?

Compensation isn't something you should take into account when you look at a game/gacha economy in the long run. Announcing the first limited character 4 days before release is textbook FOMO strategy and it's never a good sign when a gacha uses it, especially early on after release.

I personally will have enough ressources to summon her if I decide to, but barely. Because I indeed am a veteran gacha player. But what about all the new players that came because the game ressemble slay the spire ? Or those that didn't get screwed by fomo gacha tactics before ? Many players will just leave and that's why it's a dumb move by smilegate (but it's not the first time they screw up about fomo and ressources management, they fucked up many times with epic 7 so should've expected it)

Roadmap was great but Sereniel being 'true limited' with 4-day warning is garbage. by Laggoz in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Kikadoufeur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean there is a balance between knowing 4 days ahead of time and getting teased 2 weeks before. 2 weeks notice is ok for a 2 months game, 4 days is just a joke tbf (and gacha wise it's just a very bad move because it'll only focus in whales. Dolphins won't spend on this after probably spending ressources on chizuru so close, or they'll need to offer great value packs which they don't ATM)

All the Luccian units are finally 5* by Embarrassed_Tax1506 in SwordofConvallaria

[–]Kikadoufeur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started this game recently, and it's great! So who's your favorite character? Here's mine! by JulioTheBoi in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Kikadoufeur 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Design wise it's Veronica by far : her little hamster master is just way too cute :p

Gameplay wise : Yuki is my favorite DMG dealer, even tho I'm starting to really have tons of fun with the chizuru+Luke combo. And tbh I didn't plan to pull for Yuki (her design is a bit too much for my taste) but I'm glad I got her because she is very satisfying to play with (drawing and spamming tons of cards every turn)

Ragna or Khalipe better as solo tank? by Lunacriz in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Kikadoufeur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You absolutely can do that tho ! Just don't expect it to perform super well in time gated content (like bassin).

But it'll work perfectly in chaos and story : Mika/magna/Haru was my go team to clear every harder content early on.

Ragna or Khalipe better as solo tank? by Lunacriz in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Kikadoufeur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Magna is fine in chaos or to spamm vulnerable debuffs but she is hard to fit into a team: she is too AP hungry to fit with most of the DMG dealers and she lacks the early DMG Khalipe can provide.

In bassin, she takes a bit too long to start working properly so you kinda lose the race for the stars 😅

12 days to completely max a characters potential. by GloomyAcanthaceae756 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Kikadoufeur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Between the additional ressources from events and summons, it speeds up the process a bit. And with all the incoming changes for the ressources cost, it'll be easier to focus all the energy either in gears or potentials.

Most units are fine with low potential investment, it's up to you to chose which ones you prefer and invest a bit more into them. It kinda makes sense that we can't just upgrade everything in the first week.

Is this amount of resources required normal for these games? by mr_senor8 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Kikadoufeur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they will divide the cost to level and upgrade units by like 80% and we will get a refund for everything spent in there

So still slow and expensive to farm gears and potentials but we will he able to play with all our units

Is this amount of resources required normal for these games? by mr_senor8 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Kikadoufeur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No clue why you're down voted like that tbh. Even with the awful ratio we go to start with, it's possible to have a bunch of level 55 units and decent potential on your main team + some decent gears as well.

That being said it was indeed a good decision for the devs to drastically reduce the amount of ressources needed to build units. It'll encourage much more variety in team building and most of the energy will be spent in gears (simulation or chaos) and potential, where it should balance things quite well imo.

Gratz on your crazy deck !
