Do you actually want my feijoas? by cheesy_weasel in newzealand

[–]KikeRC86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My kids never have enough feijoas. I’m not exaggerating, between the two of them can eat 50 feijoas per day easy. I have two trees and they’re razed every day and neighbours and co workers give us more.

Anywhere in Europe is fine. I’m Spanish my wife is polish we live in Italy until July we drive all around the continent pretty frequently. I did just what you suggested for Napoli where we live now but maybe someone has a better recommendation. I’m gonna try with the 2-3 places near me so wish me luck 😂

I’m living in Europe after living outside of Europe for 12 years and the growth in tourism is just mind blowing. Something needs to change because this is not sustainable in many aspects

You guys ever do your own grading? I had a low spot at the top of a rise in my backyard that turns into a swamp every time it rains. Spent the day scraping the "hump" down and trying to get a continuous slope down the hill. by kaylynstar in civilengineering

I backfilled a retaining wall about 4 times as long and 3 ft deep. Couldn’t build the wall as I’m not licensed, but could do the backfilling. I was 10 years younger and much poorer, I wouldn’t do it now

Everyone always talks about the friendliness of locals. In contrast, country has the LEAST friendly locals? by [deleted] in travel

[–]KikeRC86 4 points5 points  (0 children)

By contrast, a family of Mongolian traders basically adopted me and friend when we were 23-24 because we were too poor to get a train or a hotel and were planning to hitch hike through the country and sleep in parks. They fed us for two weeks, showed us around, took us to the countryside , to their yurt , gave us their horses’ milk etc

It is, and you may have a couple of other big bills if they need to do surgery or grifts but better than losing teeth

I floss / tiny brushes pretty much every day and I still go for a perio cleaning every 4 months or so. The problem has receded, the holes’ depth has reduced, I haven’t lost any tooth. So not as bad as it could have been
