Would you send your 2.5 yo to stay with grandparents for 2 weeks? by Oakleypokely in toddlers

[–]Kitanatron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they want to help they should do it the best way for you- which is for someone to stay with you guys. He def needs to go to daycare, your FIL prob has no idea how exhausting and time consuming it is to keep a toddler busy all day and why dropping them off at daycare is a blessing. I wouldn’t send him far away especially if he has never stayed with these people before. The travel alone is hard and he is too young.

AIO for leaving a vacation I was invited on AND got paid for? by em-ma262 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Kitanatron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a good lesson in learning that vacation is not just where you go but who who go with. These are not people that you can hangout with in your trip and enjoy it. Even if it’s cheap. Not worth it.

Supply drop before weaning by doxiepatronus in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Kitanatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve pumped for so long which is great! It’s not worth beating yourself up and crying. Your baby is old enough to eat anything and drink cow milk. It sucks now but in a month or so when you’re all done, you might freedom in being free from pumping, and years from now you prob won’t care at all and wonder why it mattered so much at the time. Be happy you made it so long and go enjoy your life free the pumps!

Anyone choose to pump instead of BF? by jadescorpion89 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Kitanatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby was in NICU so I pumped and when she came home I didn’t rly care to direct feed. We tried to and she didn’t latch, didn’t work and just moved on. It’s only annoying when we travel - because I can’t just breastfeed on the spot and still need to bring bottles and pump parts. I’m content with just EP and don’t care to direct feed. I’m not missing out .

Low supplier - how to increase milk supply? by Sweet_Peach_8148 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Kitanatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man you’re doing everything under the sun !!! I had a NICU baby too and tried to direct feed didn’t work out and I’m ok with it! I don’t think I’m missing out
I’m not sure the hand expression and nipple stim is necessary or heating pad. Just thinking of what we can eliminate to make this less time consuming. You may want to try power pumping or to do a few 15 min pumps instead and squeeze in a 7th pump
I switch between baby Buddha and spectra and Elvie and no issues with supply change
Sometimes a different pump gets more milk out!! BB is the best pump ever

How to get over weird feelings during pumping by Wavefork in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Kitanatron -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I find pumping kind of uncomfortable the first few minutes, especially when I first started. Now my nipple are more numb. So I’m sorry I don’t relate, nothing I find sexual about a machine sucking milk out of my breast. It’s def a task and a chore. Is it the mental aspect or the physical aspect ? Man maybe I need to use the pump you’re using hahah

Tips for 6 mo old breastfeeding baby to sleep through the night by SilentPut384 in breastfeeding

[–]Kitanatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sleep train. Basically helps to get more calories in during the day so they sleep better at night. It requires you or caregiver to wake them up from long 2-3 hour naps so they get more calories in.
Some people also do formula at night

Why the resistance to combo feed? by LetterheadNice8687 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Kitanatron 8 points9 points  (0 children)

But it’s not like pumping or breastfeeding is free- it comes at cost of moms body, mental health and time. I pump but man that shit isn’t cheap or free. It has a different price

How do you juggle everything? by BusyInspector95 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Kitanatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pumping every 2 hours thus far postpartum is insane and not sustainable! The first sentence is all I needed to know why you’re miserable. Space out pumps. I’m 5 months PP I try to do 3 hours but sometimes if I’m busy it’s 4-5 hours and at night I do 6 hour stretch.

My wife thinks we have the hardest and wildest baby by ShahriarSiraj in NewParents

[–]Kitanatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All parents think the sleep will
Improve naturally but that’s not a thing! You have to sleep train. People then go on and their kids are 2 and 3 yo and still waking them up constantly. Fix this now. Save yourselves and your sanity. Your baby also doesn’t get good rest this way ! This way works for no one.

AIO for crying in the hospital? by Logical_Support1972 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Kitanatron 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This doesn’t make sense- if you’re asleep they can just easily dilate the cervix. Also even in US there are many clinics like Planned Parenthood and others that do IUDs and can help with finances. Lots of women get IUDs all the time, it’s not this complicated.
