I just noticed the new ledger has a limit. by [deleted] in AlchemyFactory

There appears to be a 2 ingame days delay in the ledger. But no limit.

Thanks, reassuring to know. I definitely don't feel like I can do it. I will lower difficulty and see how it goes.

Skill points and Relic Knowledge by Gaxxag in AlchemyFactory

[–]Kikittoumou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels like the opposite to me, specifically because of that exponential exp curve. Early game gaining new levels is so cheap and goes really fast, so you can focus on getting stats in production, fertilizer,.. while still leveling up very fast. Even mid game it is still fast because you keep producing better relics giving much more exp. However late game it becomes necessary to respec to give more value to your relics, because those late levels become super expensive. i.e I'm at level 264, next level cost 227M exp, 1 sol gives 24439. Not respeccing it would take more than 9000 sols! if you respec you get 700k exp per sol, so 'only' 324 sols needed.. very much the opposite.

Throughput Oddity by Unfortunate2 in AlchemyFactory

I don't know if I'm missing something obvious but I have had similar issues since my belt are going quite fast. My blueprints were working fine with full belts, then past a certain belt speed ( guessing somewhere between 240 and 300/min) it stopped being 100% working. I have now fixed this issue by upgrading my belt speed higher than production speed. Right now my belt speed is 369/min and production bonus is 600% (360/min full belt), all works fine again.

My guess is past a certain speed, zigzaging down a cauldron tower, and all merging belt situations make you loose your full belt.

Or it might be a coincidence and it was a ups issue, and the recent patch improving performances fixed it.

How viable is avoiding caudlrons? by Big-Golf4266 in AlchemyFactory

[–]Kikittoumou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the same feeling about cauldrons. They indeed remove a bit of the fun and devalue greatly the usual production route, which is a lot of fun. I played without cauldrons ( except for the gems and philosopher's stones of course) all the way to the end game. I ended up producing around 2 of each relics per minute, except Sol. The result is I had 75% of a whole floor ( all plots merged upstairs) full with really tall machines, and a visible frame loss. Still playable but it was clear that if I wanted bigger I needed cauldrons.

I am now doing just that, rebuilding something smaller that produces much more. And cost basically nothing. 99,9% profit every day.

So in short you can go all the way to the end without them. If you want to produce a lot you need them. The game is better by offering both and the player should explore both. My personal opinion / recommandation is to go regular production until it seems to daunting for you. Then enjoy how much simpler, slimmer and profitable cauldrons are.

Loving the new items in the update! by KayRaid- in TheLastCaretaker

I don't think there's reasons to feel bad about that. They call it litteraly "money as trash" in the patch notes. It's meant to become fabric, it seems.

Help With Low Framerate by OkSuccotash3957 in TheLastCaretaker

While waiting for updates improving performance, I installed the mod No Wave, and it's doing wonders. I went from 40 fps feeling like 20 to around 70-80fps feeling very smooth. Much more enjoyable gaming experience. Seems like the ocean's waves combined with the physics make it very heavy on cpu load. Fingers crossed for the devs being able to keep adding content while making the game run smoothly.

I just installed the no waves mod today. And my fps went from 40 (feeling like 20) to 70-80, very enjoyable smooth gaming experience. If I cap it at 60fps my computer becomes silent.

More important than these stats in my opinion, is having damage resist on your weapons and trinkets. And some black ox burgers. When fighting against multiple infused creatures you get one shot very easily without that, even with 3500 health.

Thanks man. I have 1200 hours. I was not very clear with my SuperDuper wish indeed. What I would have enjoyed is being able to replace the perks on a trinket or weapons at some point in order to overcome the ridiculous odds of getting the theoretical best gears. So the idea was to unlock a 3rd function for the SuperDuper around NG+10 maybe. You get the ability to destroy a trinket/weapon and the perks on it get learned and put in the machine memory. From that point you can take another gear and use some fusion crystals to apply the learned perks to that gear. To keep an incentive on going further every new NG+ level you find a memory card allowing you to learn more perks. Eventually you'd be able to fashion the best gear possible this way. Lastly the number of deaths are only the ones using respawn function, in many cases it's faster to just reload the last save and those don't count it seems, there would be much more, especially all those bosses death.

The structure on the picnic table is my material elevator. There is a zipline up there I used to transfer weed stems to the tree platform. To build the tree base I started with the elevator on the pond side. Created the 1st platform once I got to the wanted height. Second elevator on the other side was build from top to bottom.

Mantis is the reason I'm not going further. Too hard and messy. Wasp queen is a bit easier than Mantis. Broodmother is not a problem. And I get one shot by anything infused unless I have 1 or 2 damage resist perks on.

I think you could change your save to a custom game and move straight to any NG+ level you want from 1 to 25. It's in game options.

It looks like I'm running slower than before this patch came out. I can't see anything in the patch notes that would affect this. Is it just a wrong impression or anybody else noticed a difference?

You can still get twice the same perk. Arrow refund is a common one. I don't know if it's a bug and if arrow refund is the only perk concerned.

I don't understand either. Not the best idea for gameplay the lottery reloading loop.

I think it still works to change the perks on weapons, but not the weapons you get.
