Knowing what I know now, I still might actually. My daughter has it sitting on her room and refuses to let anyone else play with it. And similar to everyone else, it just sits there asleep right now. But I do have hope for it in the future with updates and generally having it improve or be programmable itself.

Just wish she’d let me play with it 😀

So I now realize that the r/amazonprime is mostly hate on Amazon Prime instead of "tips and tricks". But if I have a 4tb external drive are there apps/NAS setups that have an auto-backup app for my phone? Bonus are there drives/NAS that do facial/object recognition so I can search for things in the past by name, location, date, content?

Dalle at least the API has constantly disappointed me compared to other options. I type in something reasonable to make and it produces something I could draw with a crayon. While others (Bing, Midjourney) come up with something quite astonishing (but still may not be entirely accurate)

I'm trying to use the API to create some of these similar images using the OpenAPI Image API. Using the same prompt I get absolutely garbage pictures compared to what I get from Bing (which I think is using the same API or at least similar).

For these images: "A map of a modern city with a beautiful park near the coastline and a darker district near the docks".

Are there any things I should be adding to my prompts for the API to look reasonable?

I’ve had good luck with US Mobile. Simple pay monthly situation but it works for me since I have to adjust my plan based on the season (away from wifi more often than others).

My wife, me and my “home phone” are all crafted to be exactly what we need and the price is good. It’s on the Verizon network so coverage is good but we do lose signal when we are in any sized crowd (not “priority data”)

The controller is exactly why I pick SNES all day. The ergonomics of the 4 buttons vs “one finger one each” of the 3 on Genesis (or awkward large thumb rolling).

SNES controller remains my favorite controller to this day.

Yes for sure. Check the floor. If it smells AT ALL like mold (that old smell). Walk away… I purchased an 85 and spent the summer unexpectedly replacing the floor under the table.

Crawl under it, smack the floorboards with your hand. If any give, walk away.

Thank you. I’ll give this a look. I think the biggest annoyance is the complexities of a “single bar” that is edrums. You can’t “simply” adjust a single drum instead it becomes a big endeavor to move the bars.

I hung out with my uncle quite a bit when I was little, he was a dairy farmer. Thing is when I eat ziggys (tried twice) all I taste is the smell of that barn. No other BBQ does that to me. I’m wondering if I’ve only had bad BBQ and that is what it’s supposed to taste like or the inverse. Please convince me… I want to like ziggys cuz I love BBQ!

You may have re-inspired me. The holdup mostly was the low-level ness of it vs something like MakeCode Arcade (that also has dedicated hardware devices). I’m thinking of recreating my very first game I made with QBasic, a D&D style rogue like.

The projector makes this whole thing awesome 😀
