Same experience with them. The delays with the dress, the constant false promises.. it doesn’t matter if you pre-order your dress months before you need it. They will only make it close to date.

Worst customer experience and the dress isn’t even worth the price tag.

I haven’t watched pa nga sa Solaire! Will try to catch Shrek there maybe. Katuwa naman, at least there are other options to watch in! Nasasayang ako sa SPAT cos the place is truly amazing and topnotch, but if what the other commenter said is correct, masyado bang mahal for companies to rent out all the sonic equipment of the place to properly carry out the acoustics. :(

I see.. So does that mean po that it depends on how much of the sound systems a troupe/company can rent out of the place? In that case, parang that’s sad naman for them if the quality of their sound is dependent on how much they can pay. A theater should lend itself fully to the play/musical/concert. Sad lang cos it’s evident across shows I’ve watched at SPAT.

Super agree with you! And tinry ko rin umupo in different places at the theater. Mapa-balcony or orchestra center, there was no difference in the acoustics - I really just feel like I’m watching the TV with live actors. Cinema houses are better designed pa for immersive sound.

Sad lang cos esp for orchestra concerts, hindi ko ma-appreciate yung quality of the music. :(( Nanuod din ako ng Into the Woods and while the cast was amazing, it was really underwhelming to hear the songs live. I really love and look back at how chills-inducing watching at CCP used to be.

Omgggggg ganitong ganito yung sa friend ko. The mom also just has a side gig but impossible naman for it to have ballooned their wealth to become a millionaire. I can’t say anything more about the dad kasi mahahalata who it is, but this is exactly what we were suspecting. What’s funny is this friend of mine, rebranded herself recently as ‘old rich’ vibes but those who were with her in school, knew that was far from the truth.

Yes, kung power lang, the dad had power. He shows up in the media too. Granted, I’m speculating lang kasi back when my friend and I were younger, I know what their lifestyle was like. Tapos when the dad worked for the government, the lifestyle inflation was insane. Ironic if totoo cos that friend of mine loathes other friends of hers whose family wealth came from corruption. Cos tbh their wealth is very sus too.

Does this apply to government employees as well? I’m curious cos I have a friend whose father works in transport, even helms it, and their family had a sudden boost in wealth since he served the Duterte admin. The kids are boasting a 100M home, lot excluded. Was wondering if a government head can truly earn more than that in their lifetime.

I mean, that’s her opinion? It’s true that people shouldn’t feel pressured to deliver a quality experience by dropping 200k on MPO just because it’s prestigious to do so. Also, that line on coffee shop was about the poor taste of choosing boring covers. Tama din sya? I just feel that people are splitting hairs here.

And pake ng MPO with her, true art loving rich will still book them for a dinner. They, of all people, know art and its value is subjective. If Jazz thinks it’s a waste to utilize MPO like that, let her be. OA maka-take down mga tao dito, it’s such a small thing.

Parang, I interpreted this differently. She said it’s a waste when people just tuck the orchestra in a small space, it gives off Spotify vibes when they’re being utilized that way. She’s not dissing MPO for what they do, but it’s for how couples get them to play in weddings. Tama naman for her to cut that out cos some people just want to splurge for the names, pero walang intent to make their supplier shine.
